Request for Relic: No Matching with Blocked players

Permanently BannedI believe that there should be a function in which you don't automatch with a player you blocked on steam, or whatever client COH2 is based on. I'm getting tired of matching with those said players, usually those who are inactive from the start, to those who dc at the beginning, to downright trolls. I'd rather it take a little longer to find a game to match with than to be matched with someone I blocked for any of those said reasons.

Then you'd have ability to influence who you are matched with in matchmaking, which is the opposite point of matchmaking.
Get a reliable team or accept that random team games are full of noobs who remind themselves 2 mins into the game that they do not have time to play or expect to be carried or whatever.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

If you want to play with certain people, don't play with random team mates. Random means you don't know (and for this reason cannot influence) who you play with.

I'm on board with this. The people I have blocked on steam are verbally abusive, hate speech filled, racial slur spewing, potty mouthed trolls.
Its not about avoiding bad teammates. Its about avoiding assholes that I shouldn't have to interact with.
What would be my other option? Stop playing?

Implementation of a mute button would solve that problem without screwing with matchmaking.
That wont be happening tho, so learn to ignore them or play with premades.
I have seen a big increase in people asking for specific features or bigger changes, and i have to wonder if they have not noticed how little attention this game is getting from the developer.

Mute is obviously a good thing. But blocking matchmaking would destroy the competitive scene.

A mute option would be good, because sometimes run out of creative insults way too early.

Permanently BannedBlocking the user's profile on steam won't boot either you or the blocked user from the current match. But it will prevent you from matching up with them on the same team in future games. Better to have a toxic player as an enemy rather than an ally who messes you and your war effort up.

Better option would be to add-in in game report options as well as all chat or team chat as an option to remove toxicity.
