SneakEye, I just wanted to say, thank you so much for making this amazing mod!
I had a game yesterday against AI that felt like a totally new game (in a good way!).
I am really amazed how you managed to get all this amazing stuff inside a single mod.

Look at it this way - The Ostheer player was pretty happy with RNG that game.

You don't even need a Luchs for that. The 222 can do that as well
Nevertheless the old saying also applies here: "Never leave your tank unprotected".
Especially if its a tank that cannot do shit against inf.

I get your point, I did not know that the accuracy became worse after the patch (haven't played Sovs for a while now), but imo the pen and accuracy was extremely good before as well.
The thing is that it has to be bad in some way. It perfectly counters Light Vehicles like 222s. 251s, Flak HTs and Luchses by killing them or at least forcing them to move out of an area. The barrage then is just a nice bonus. It being free was a problem in the first place.
If you want to get a sniper tank hunter, you get the SU85 (which also has its flaws, but still).

I think all the "niche tanks" need this kind of "cheese" ability besides their main gun damage in order to be able to add a surprise element. StuG will make you inmaneuverable for a while. Puma does as well (?). AEC also has its thread shot. The Valentine can watch your enemy while sucking ass.

Yes, you're right. That's why I mentioned
Pop the smoke everytime your HT is even in the smallest threat to get killed. Better be safe than sorry.
If you see something like this, even when you are 90% sure that the flak will suppress them in time, it is probably better to revert the HT out of the danger zone preventively.
Sometimes the range of an AT satchel or Snare Nade is bigger as you would expect and once you eat a motor damage, you're flak is lost in 95% of the time. (Funnily I had a game yesterday, were I manage to keep a Flak HT alive after it received a Penal AT satchel).
While the inf is storming at your reversing HT, your support Volks (best behind cover) will tear them apart.

I haven't read through the whole topic but where did we start to compare the SU76 to the Jagdtiger lol?
Su76 is imo fine. Still has nice penetration, Muni cost on barrage brings consistency with the Zis and makes the SU76 much less a Jack of all Trades.
The Su76s biggest flaws are its low HP and the lack of a turret. It shares these problems with the StuG that has more HP but also the same mobility issues all TDs in the games have, while also being more expensive and lacking a barrage ability. Meanwhile the Target Weakpoint makes it better for hunting tanks.
I personally would place the SU76 as a "Light Tank Hunter" on the same level as e.g. the Luchs is a Light AI Vehicle. It is very powerful in the mid game but might go under in the late without proper vet.
A properly supported SU76 (mines / AT nades) can screw a Panzer IV which is double the cost and way more drastic to lose than a 76 could ever be. Also, the SU76 eats 3 PaK shot and dies. This is a very good case of the Rock/Paper/Scissor sheme of the game. This is balanced. Making the Su76 to be reliably able to take out PaKs without exposing itself for free(!!) is not.

The key unit for OKW atm is the Flak Halftrack. I never, N E V E R, build a Luchs (not even the truck for them) because you really need the Flak and the LeIGs.
3 things are important:
a) Keep your Flak HT on max range and always focus troops that might harm it the most (= troops that are not already suppressed).
b) Keep a Volks squad and a Raketenwerfer nearby to snare and kill every Light Vehicle that tries to take out the HT. NEVER leave your HT without a Volks squad!
c) Pop the smoke everytime your HT is even in the smallest threat to get killed. Better be safe than sorry.
With this you can keep the blobs in control. And while your Flak is raging, another Volks squad should alwas be used outside the main battle area, to keep capping everything it can get.
MG34s are also a nice addition to prevent flanks from Penals/Cons/Rifles with AT nades and snares.

It simply is an area denial tool like MG Bunkers. You pay fuel but get a 360° arc. Right now you are trying to make the Bofors a no-brainer which counters everything but the heaviest tanks, which is not the case. A single mortar or even better leIG and the Bofors can't do shit because it cannot runaway. You need Sappers to repair it constantly (making them bleed like hell because of repairing damage penalties) unless you play fortification doctrine, which is shit.
It wipes fast but 1-2 seconds is an overstatement.
Unless you put a squad inside, it won't pin anything. Nobody uses the barrage anymore after the FRP nerf because Brit units are expensive as fuck and you won't waste 280MP only for some light barrage things that is mostly used to tear down houses.
It doesn't. It literally does NOT harm planes. This is a bug, but still.
Compared to what? OKW - Build 2 leIGs and the Bofors melts like butter. You don't lose any fuel while the enemy spent 30 for literally nothing and also is not able to get an AEC anymore. Ostheer: Build a mortar and a flame 251. Smoke + attack ground -> Bofors gone, 251 Vet 2.
ALSO, that 45(?) fuel for a single Bofors means a 3-4 minute longer time until a Cromwell arrives. AND you also lack the MP to build an AT Gun, which means that an incoming Panzer 4 will tear you apart.
Indirect fire as in mortar pit which was nerfed into the ground? Also, about 900MP + 30 Fuel only to defend a small area of the map is a huge investment. That can be negated by Mortars/leIGs easily. And also the enemy has a way better army if you put all your MP into this immobile trash.
