The whole idea if you go T4 is to either rely in T1/2 anti if power and or bolster with a doctrine, Shocks, KV8, incendiary arty, IS2 etc.
Su85 is cheap and powerful against tanks. And don't forget Katushkas.

Well all German units are generally multi purpose. Where soviet ones generally are more specialised, in only one role. It's just faction design.

Yeah its one of the best non doc Tank killers in game. I think its fine as well. I would like the SU76 barrage cool down reduced or given some other form of AI like an HE round. To make it more useful.
The PTRS's are fine as they are. Whenever i'm up against Guard Infantry, I always have to be careful with my vehicles or the Guards will completely destroy them. Good range, good damage and fairly cheap; if anything, the PTRS should nerfed since it's ridiculously good for the price. Even in the hands of Conscripts, the PTRS's are extremely potent.

have you ever had a Vet3 SU85? That beast shoots as fast as grenadiers do in a range no other no-doctrinal unit has.
And as already said: the SU85 is supposed to be a Tank-destroyed; everything's fine

i have an idea strip both factions of their uniforms give them sticks and stones , tanks will be replaced by Horse and buggy with a little katapult on top and lets rename the game heroes of the stone age. no more whining ever again

SU85 is fine. One thing I would like to see is the SU76 changed so that instead of having auto fire + barrage ability, just make it like a weaker but cheaper version of the Brumbar. Soviet T4 really does lack anti infantry compared to Ostheer, also because Katyusha fires 4 mini barrages instead of one good one (like the Panzerwerfer) and 2-3 are easily dodged.

I doubt thats the intention since Soviet T4 does have units designed for anti infantry, they just underperform.

Since you don't read patch notes, brummbar AT was doubled.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

I've been reading a memoir of a Soviet SU-85 commander who had a captured MG42 in his tank as a defense against infantry, other than that he seems to spend all his time engaging vehicles and armour, as I said before, I think it'd be silly to have the SU-85 being capable of effective AI support. I'd rather have something like its mobility or AT improved. I buy SU-85s as hard tank counters, not as both. If I want AI I get katyushas (for all the use they are).

tbh the su85 is pretty darn good agianst infantry already considering its role. (its just not consistently or reliably good)
