I think it could just use a durability buff and that's it.
Failing that, a sight-line increase. What good is a Scout Car that can't bloody see any further than anyone else? |

Sometimes when im in the shower i turn the heat all the way up and pretend im getting sprayed by a KV8 flame burst
Shouldn't you be dead then? My last encounter with a KV-8 led to every man in my squad burning to death instantly. In my experience, using a KV-8 is much faster and more effective than a Ostwind. |
I like the ram = stun idea. My take on it is T-34 ram should stun the enemy vehicle, possibly with a very small chance to immobilize. The stun on the enemy could be 8 seconds, while only 3 or 4 for the T-34 (the crew should anticipate the impact). The T-34 itself will only suffer a chip of damage from the maneuver. Ramming weak light vehicles should have a chance to 'out of control' or 'abandon' them.
As for Abandon, I agree that abandonment should also immobilize or damage the engine. But to add to that, after abandonment have the vehicle recover 20-40% of its health automatically. Abandoned vehicles rarely get a chance to be recovered because they get one-shot by anything, this would change that and make recovery efforts more desirable by both teams. |
Stat wise, the Tiger has higher health and armour than the IS-2, but the IS-2 has higher penetration and damage than a Tiger. |
I don't know if it's changed recently, but back before they disabled mods, I tried Tiger vs IS-2, and in a straight-up fight the Tiger won 3/3, coming out with anywhere from a sliver of health to half health. |
If we wanted to be realistic, wouldn't the StG be handled kinda like the G43 is now? Doctrinal weapon, only handed out to squads as an upgrade? |

Guards are fine
PzG and Shock Troops are too strong and need symetrical nerf. PzG and ST ripe all infantry in no time and destroy infantry combat as everybody love. This elite infantry is like KCH from CoH (Tier4), but hit the field in 5 minutes (on both side).
I keep seeing people compare things to KCH, I just want to say that there is no unit in the game like KCH from CoH1. KCH had enough health to survive 2 Sniper shots, no unit in CoH2 or even CoH1 (save for Brit officers) can do that. Panzergrenadiers are more like watered down Assault Grenadiers. Just be thankful we don't have CoH1 Stormtroopers with 2 StG upgrades! Those guys would walk over anything, I feel they'd even walk over Shock Troops if we had 'em... |

Honesty it just seems like a problem Ost has across the board. Small squad sizes + strong Sov weapons often lead to them being killed off too quickly. For example, Soviet Grenades can squad wipe under the right circumstances, but even an Ost Bundle Grenade is unlikely to wipe out a Sov squad due to the 6 man count. |
What van Voort said, Half-Tracks area already used as a core Soviet Unit anyway. CoH doesn't simulate rear-line economics, it's focused on combat, hence the focus of this tree would be combat units. I suggested Valentine Tanks and Guard M4A2's because those were the most numerous combat vehicles sent to Russia by the western allies, and Bazooka's because it'd make Rus T1 more viable (Penals and Scout Cars are nice, but the lack of AT kills it, at least for me). |

I've seen guards clump up together and be killed by a single rifle grenade... not impressed.
Can happen to any squad. Lets ignore the fact that Germans have smaller squads while Soviets have stronger nades. We know very often how bad it feels to get a squad 'nade wiped. |
