Yeah it's all about early aggression for Germans, your pio can cap your side fairly unhindered unless they send an M3.
Even 4 grens sent straight to their territory with all ammo used for fausts can keep them off muni (to prevent flamers), then fuel. Fuel cache, skip T2 and get a fast P4. Propper pressure will mean its 1 on 1 with P4 and T34... Plus your telling them to stop making T70s.
Would work ok with bought vet for P4 and p4 bulletins to own 1st T34's.
And yes a 250 HT with shreks can deal with T70 with good micro, use true sight, ambush them. Have your pios on hand to repair it, and bonus is you can take the PGs out while it repairs. |
Well, yes they are really strong. But there are ways to fight them. They have huge disadvantages |
I don't want to see posts about it being OP, or any form of rant. This thread is for constructive discussion about counters ( yes there are some). Save all the moaning for other threads.
Personally having used Industry a bit, it's really weak early game (first couple mins), unless you hold fire choosing doctrine to get 2 engies and a sniper out faster, this then delays any '4 min T70'.
If anyone builds a 4 min T70, then the German totally failed to take their fuel off their engies..
A good counter strat is assault grens, because you can pop one right away and send it to see off their engies before they can cap fuel or munis. You can push them off the field before they can afford flamers. Then get 1-2 grens for fausts on M3s.
Now, T70 is not far away, get shrek half track and try to ambush 1st one. Quickly have engie on hand to repair it afterwards.
Soviet can be really struggling to get hold of a fuel now, which quite blunts their armour output.
Teck the T3 asap and get a P4, done right, it will defeat T 34 before they have 2.
No flaming please, constructive arguments. |
It's takes you half way to vet2 for tanks, which means with blitz it's easy to reach, just kill a couple targets.
Vetting inf makes their reinforce cost more, so combined with tiger ace resource drain, not the best idea to get inf.
Better to build tanks and pios and vet those. So counter to the soviet doc, few veteran tanks to their many mass produced tanks.

7.. Thank god. |
Even zergs of scripts capping the map might work eventually, it can't be everywhere, and every battle German inf fights they are getting worn down... Just like the real war
It needs to be a killing blow. But combined with say 3 medium tanks, it could be really nasty.
Can anyone confirm for me which abilities it has? Not had chance to get on yet. |
I think best use of this doctrine would be too play aggresive inf strat, really push on 2 VPs, once VPs start to get low, you can just send the tiger ace with minimal support to one VP, with majority of your army at other.
Kinda like king tiger was ussually played on coh1.
Either that, or build lots of tanks with plenty of pios to repair. Save up a bit of manpower before calling it in, as pios are cheap to reinforce. Now just keep pios safe for repairing, and guard those VPs!

Yeah I agree it will be nice to fire it more often, and will give a cooler feel of constant bombardment, but it will def be much harder to take out exact targets as often.
MG's at vet 2, +20% suppression!! Hello bought veterancy lol
Also engies, 50% repair rate, and then get 3.. No penalty for repairing in combat.
Wow, that's a real incentive to level engies up early on and then keep them safe for late game. |
I was about to saw the same, best way to fight being cut off is just to spread and cap. You might not have much coming in yourself, but you can counter cut off and make him have less. Then a simple mortar in your base can safely bleed anything on your cut off without time being too important. |
I tried to tell people that it was extremely unlikely that building times would be reduced ontop of the reduction
Which is afforded by the soviet industry doctrine.
Why don't people get that bar minor balance tweaks, the core units and buildings are set how they want them, only factions will add significant changes, as that's easier to balance.
I'm kinda upset to see the B4 get an effective nerf.. But I suppose it will make it work more as intended. Currently you can just get it to vet 1 using direct fire then spam precision strike, but at 90 muni it will be less affordable. But at least in trade off of lost accuracy, it gets to fire more often. |
