There is a doctrine commimg with cheaper but weaker call in T34s (called green T34). Also has elite T34/85 s |
Greeb, an army of panzer grens? They are expensive to reinforce, buying vet ups their reinforce cost further, and he has no resources once its called in.
All you had to do was get snipers, or some kind of arty or flames and he would be soo screwed. |
I think the cost of the Ace works ok, hear me out:
Say you get 2 p4's and a collection of inf, you will not have 7 CP yet, but if you continue to produce units you will probably pop cap yourself so you can't call the Ace (I've done that once). Also if you do call it, your large army will die off fast due to obvious upkeep costs.
On the other hand, once you have above army, if you then save your resources for after you call the Ace, it will sustain your army a while afterwards. (This is how I use it).
3rd scenario is that your taking a bit of a battering from the soviet and have had to keep using resources just to try get the above army.. Now if you call the ace it will be a close affair because you don't have the solid support, or resources to back it up, it could crumble around your ace.
So IMO, it works best when you save resources leading up to calling it, in much the same way you save resources for a normal heavy... Except the permenant halt to res is actually a higher cost. |
It can only be beat with correct preperation.
If they reach 7 CPs with a sizable army and you dont have the tools to take it down, its going to trash your base way too fast.
I take it on a less than obvious route to enemy base to try avoid mines, and stick it through a hedge. If it gets engine damage there, who cares. |
I bet it will still decrew paks while circling fine, it does it crazy fast at the moment, every shot kills a crew man.
And it also will reward better micro, i.e. press stop just before it fires, then keep it moving again, like we all had to do with tank battles in coh1.
Surly thats only a good thing? |
Well this looks like an 85, and didn't they come towards the end of the war? So he might have been a teenager and only recruited towards the end, helping his odds a little. |
Yeah Hissy your right, and of course a T70 is a nastier unit than any inf unit, I just meant that the T70 is what you have instead of more inf.
As far as scatter goes, good, tanks won't be able to chase retreating units so effectively, which is only good. They will still rape in a stand up fight.
They are not changing scatter simply because of industry.. They already tried to nerf it a bit last patch.. They just decided the nerf didn't go quite far enough because of the AOE of tanks.
This is only good, they have an idea and implement it cautiously so not to over nerf stuff.
Would you rather they just nerfed it to the ground 1st time around like has happened to units in the past. |
Repair only uses 30 ammo now. |
Yeah of course T70 will keep showing up, the T70 is the equivalent on infantry in this doctrine.
I still feel it can be countered ok in 1v1, but I wont comment on team games, because Ive not watched/played any yet.
Im not arguing its totally balanced. Just that I dont think its a win every time button. |
Akula, you missed my point.
Playing industry, you only build about 3 inf units, then you need to build fuel units. If you build too many inf units you cripple your income because you don't have enough manpower to keep reinforcing them. Exactly the same way that would happen if you spammed only elite inf in normal circumstances.
But by making industry 1 CP, you would be forced to continue making inf, so you'd end up with 5 or
More inf units, which as soon as you select industry, your not going to be able to reinforce easily.
A fast T 70 is very unsupported in the way that a normal T70 would be. All you really need to keep it at arms length is grens and a fast pak. Multiple grens make Faust easy, if the T70 tries to stay at range, easy pickings for pack. |
