Especially against low armor squads as conscripts, they nearly always force retreat. I don't know about their cost, but it doesn't bother me. I mean, grenades are always a certain 'jump in the unknown'. You never know what you're going to get. i think that grenades have enough penetration to counter any infantry armor. Can infiltration grenades be utterly devastating ? yes with bit of luck as you cannot control where the nades will land. if you ask me the most potent nade in the game is the obers white phosphor nade that nade has a very reliable potential to wipe squads and force retreats. Thread: OKW Flak HT vs US AA2 Aug 2014, 16:53 PM okw track is worthless at the moment. it simply very unreliable as most shots simply are not hitting their target. the okw track can win from an us track if the us track already shot his load of its main cannon and is reloading. I cannot how idiotic relics sometimes acts. the flaktrack was a bit on the up side before the nerf now its hardly useful at all In: COH2 Balance

It's all about your range, maneuverability and your use of good micro. Panther is the fastest medium tank. It's harder to do than with a puma, but just like a puma you can kite smaller tanks all day. Difference is that the panther won't instantly evaporate if it ends up in range for return fire. Every strength the Puma has the Panther also has. You pay the extra to remove the chance of it exploding to a stiff breeze, much higher pen and more damage per shot. DPS ads to the survivability of an unit. and the puma has nearly 50% more then the panther. its a big difference if you need to wait 20 seconds to kill a tank or 8 and 2 puma can kill a medium tank under 8 seconds. Thick front, no rear, long range. It's already a strong tank if you don't confuse it with an IS-2 and use it like a mong (aka 90% of panthers used in game). Wehr needs to have same stats as OKW and it's fine. glass cannons simply perform better. i rate the puma far higher then the panther because of that. In: COH2 Balance

Two easy 8s I park one in tigers ass which is easily done cause its slow while the other one circles it and lol. Smart panther starts backing up I prolly wont pen the front and probably end up losing both easy 8s and not killing the panther because I cannot get behind it (as it is faster backing up than the sherman is driving forwards) and eventually if I pursue it I am going to run into trouble and prolly lose both tanks while the panther survives. On a side not can anyone wikipedia me the reverse speed of a panther compared to a sherman driving forwards? I assume the panther dosen't go top speed in reverse due to a transmission but I may be wrong. I simply going to assume the axis player has made the arrangements to prevent this like posting grenadiers nearby. 1vs1 situations are rare i rather not involve them into balance. once i destroyed an is 2 with an okw puma but such situations are rare. You have to respect the tank, because it always takes a coordinated effort from infantry and ATG/Tanks to kill one. The question is how much bang you get for your buck. and simply put for the ost and okw their a lot more units that simply perform a lot better. especially the tiger. its good tank but not worth 175 fuel. it would be better if it was 145 fuel. There is nothing wrong with that, if you want to use heavy armor you need to use it right, you need proper AT support, if you don't know how to pull it, try watching how soviets had to play since closed beta, well, now you have to do the same and its suddenly balance problem? Soviets player never needed to learn combined arms. su85's where op because of their super speed and afterwards t-34's ram prevented any heavy armour from being used. In: COH2 Balance
