Oh, but having wheels is what matters all along. And if you mention that USF has access to light vehicles you are just ignorant that you are either going for a M20 (which gets heavy countered by T3) or a AA HT (which gets countered by a Puma) and that takes time. Meanwhile you are behind on the first 5 mins.
WTF are you doing with that m20? you dont shoot the puma with it you lure it over a m20 mine or use the zook. |
A suppressed or pinned maxim is useless. It'll do severely reduced damage and suppression and won't re-position. The manpower bleed is still 15MP per model, to 0 per hitpoint done to a kubel. It still has a tear down time. It still requires he gunners to hop about as they get picked off. Maxims have all the weaknesses that the Kubel does not. And its the absence of those weaknesses that is 100% of the problem with the kubel.
As for the counters: They do. But not in any timely fashion. Buying at AT gun unit one is just -begging- for it to get stolen, and At nades require you catching the kubel (super speedy kubel says NOPE), guards require multiple CP's. Mines are a crap shot.
M3's are your only real option, and frankly, I love it when they try. Volks get shrecks nice and fast, and between a sturmpio squad and the kubel you can mince that bucket of bolts pretty fast. Oh, and racketens take no tier building, unlike soviet At guns (or god forbid USF At guns)
You got some magic solution I don't know of?
It seems you fail to understand that the maxim and the m3 are softcounters and not hardcounters. the defintly work vs the kubel and vice versa. it simply a matter of skill between the 2 players that determine who will make most use of it. when you say something like shrekked volks as a counter i can guess your ability is not that high. why do you attacks kubel supported by a shrekked volks? is that volks permanently attached to the kuble? can you not drive it away before you nail the kubel?
against maxim spam i have to be really careful with my 222 when i hunt maxims . one at nade mine or guards wull quickly wreck a lot of mp/fuel. so i need to pick of the ones that are isolated.

The earliest USF light vehicle would probably still be the WC51, at 1 CP. You're already way behind at this point. Outside of the pretty meh at the moment Mechanized doctrine, their earliest light vehicle is the M20, which runs a total of 70 fuel to get (teching+vehicle cost). That's about 5 minutes in if you actually managed to hold your fuel point.
Allies (especially USF) being defensive in the early game is a loss. USF doesn't have a super unit that can come out and turn the game around in the late game. If you don't win the early game as USF you're going to lose unless your opponent makes gigantic mistakes.
yeah that still a better situation what ostheer faces during maxim spam l2p and use the buildings and stall them. |
A supressed maxim will deal less damage (and supression?) and won't be able to move or turn if pinned. If we add that it gets wiped on retreat...
Dealing with maxim spam is annoying but not OP (1v1). But effective for the amount of effort needed. This is a problem with maxim and conscript design. If maxim where designed to be MG and not LMG with supression, we would have maybe a "proper" use of it. Theres a reason spamming maxims is effective but using it as "support" for your conscripts doesn't work as well.
M3: you can see what is he teching. Its either Penals (lol), snipers (damn) or M3 what is going to be coming from it. It cost fuel, it requires your CE to build T1. On the other hand we have a T0 unit (this was also my concern with the Dodge, but that was doctrinal and had a lacking late game potential).
After that being adressed: what is your opinion with Kubel vs USF. Who cares, right?
Oh smell the hypocrisy and double standards. The kubel is a maxim on wheels and thus it has the same counters: light vehicles or overwhelming firepower. the soviets and the usf has access to light vehicles then the ostheer . their is no excuse for it to completely fuck up your early game.
most usf and soviet players however completely overextend themselves and have not learned to be defensive while you pump out the adequate counters. |
A T34 will only win a Pz4 if both are vet 0, they don't have support of any kind and the PzIV is microed with the ass.
T34 should be better because soviets don't have AT support, meanwhile their enemy factions have the better tanks of the game.
Try to imagine not having schrecks and having fausts that don't penetrate nothing with armor thicker than a soft-drink can, and Paks than only could shot once by the time the enemy tank reaches the other corner of the map. Welcome to the Soviet world.
You should understand that going T3 means that your T34 is going to be the only non-doctrinal tank that you will have, and it will have to deal with PzIVs, Panthers, Tigers, Jadgtigers and such with the only support of ZiS guns.
Try to use a commander without IS2 and ISU-152 then. You will understand why T34 should be better.
On the other hand, you can own ALL non-doctrinal allied tanks with only PzIVs.
Any soviet player will trade their cheap T34 by your expensive PzIV any fucking time. At vet2 a PzIV is great, at vet3 a T34 is the same crap. Oh, wait! it can cap points!!
your issue is with soviet design and call ins being problematic not with the the t-34 itself and reverting the "nerf" will change nothing. if i look on the t-34 i will definitely say its worth the price. |
What?? better AI?? Soviets??
Which unit do you think gives soviets its better AI??
Penals? T70? SU76? All those units that nobody builds because they suck so hard that building just one makes your enemy to smile because he already won?
The idea of soviets as a good AI faction ended a lot of months ago. Now soviets struggle to kill anything, infantry or tanks, until they can afford any OP doctrinal units like Shocks or ISU.
Wait. I should have read this first.
Obviosly you don't have any idea about what game are you playing.
Yeah im not interested in straw men arguments. give me a fucking good reason why the t-34 back should go back to its original where it often won against the p4? |
Except that PzIV has incredibly better vet bonuses, better support units (paks, schrecks), better doctrinal abilities (blitz, smoke) and it's better both as AI and AT unit than T34.
The soviets have their own strengths including better AI and arty but thats a discussion for another time. and of course p4 has better ai and at it better be considering that this unit is 25 fuel more expensive then then t23. t34 is solid and worth its cost and im sry you cannot spam like a noob like the 85 which hopefully receive its nerfs someday. |
t-34 is hardly cheaper than a panzer 4.
25 fuel is quite a bit and the t-34 vs p4 is not Nearly as one sided as a p4 against a e8 or 85 who only cost 5 to 10 fuel more. |
Cons are where they're supposed to be according to Relic. Still somewhat usefull, still spamable, cost more than volks and same as grens. L2P. MVGame
Stugs are more spammable than T-34s and are far better, I don't see your logic here.
Your post is flawed and not logical.
Soviet T3 + T4 are way too screwed, nerfing the core units only promote call-ins. It's not a L2P issue........more like an another useless unit made for the soviets.
Perhaps the call ins are imbalanced then, considering what you are getting for 130 fuel for a 85 and 135 for a e8 |
September Challenge: make Jaigen realize that Truck push + Kubel into Puma/AA HT is OP, specially against USF.
truck push is something entirely different and yes the combination with kubels and puma's is indeed somewhat op one some maps. but the kubel itself is fine. |
