What if your opponent decides to truck push and destroy the buildings? I'm sorry but versus a well microed kubel there is simply no counter . You will simply get rushed, cutoff and have no resuorces. Then you might get the m20 out, and kill the kubel. The only thing i agree with is truck pushing which is bs. and on some maps you are at a disadvantage. ask the ost players what they think about stallinggrad. In: COH2 Balance

It compeletely slaugthers USF early game, and makes it impossible to fight in the mid-late game. One way to fix it is to put the WC 51 at 0 CPs, that way atleast USF can go mechanized company and kill the kubel. USF might need more units in T1 or a tier restructure if the kubel is to keep it's role of a T0 mobile suppresion unit, however. Sadly the design flaws of the game are very quickly becoming apparent. The best way would be to simply give the kubel a role change. It should become some thing like a jeep or bike copy from vcoh. Useful for scouting and hunting snipers (and pushing). And not much beyond that. Have you ever considered that you are just a bad player. what works against the maxim works against the kubel play defensively and stay in buildings till the m20 arrives. L2P. use the m20 mines or vehicle crew to your advantage. if you can force an okw player to get the puma then that is a win. you do not want to deal with the luchs or obersoldaten before 10 minutes. Better nades is dependant on skill. if somebody is not paying attention the potato smasher is indeed batter but on my level most people will dodge it. it makes molotov just way better for denying your opponent cover. shrek and at nades are about equal in utility. and ffs people stop saying vet 4 and 5 because even for volks its fairly hard to reach that rank in 1 vs 1 let alone other units. I also don't get the hate for racketen Sure it has trouble hitting m3, but i find it hits tanks fairly reliable, vets fairly fast, penetrates often, and is cheap. I always try stealing them when i can. not entirely since the 85 callins are still better then the tiger tank. and the ace can come out to late. and as i said before its entirely possible for the soviets and usf to pump out their TD's (most simply refuse to do so in 1 vs 1) but not for the ostheer. They are already more effective against tanks than a SU-85. Maybe it should be harder to beat a soviet heavy than just fielding one pak40, similar to how soviets need more than just a zis to beat an axis heavy. Because thats how the current meta works. Soviets forego teching and wait till they have access to 85,is2 or kv1's. This gives them a rather huge mp and fuel advantage. Simply put teching up to tier 3 or 4 as ostheer is suicidal. even if you get tanks out they will be of significant lower quality in the case of tier 3. p4 vs 85 is a lopsided affair in favour for the 85. in the case of tier 4 your panther will be outnumbered 3 to 1. Now the allies on the other hand can tech up and get some very good TD's in form of the su85 and jackson not to mention their medium tank callins are nearly as powerful their td's. In: COH2 Balance

Yes it is. Jacksons are without a doubt the best TD's currently in the game. And in the OKW is in the same boat, they to need to invest fuel into TD's to deal with soviet heavies. or any other tank for that matter because while you complain about the usf AT gun its still better vanilla state then the rakttenwerfer. It's not just about it's performance specifically, but it's performance within the faction. Axis, already have great armor, and panzerschreks, why does the pak40 need to also be twice as effective as other AT guns? Because you are wrong and not a little bit 2. Of all the non doctrinal units the ostheer has the only ones capable of dealing with the soviet heavy armour before reach the panther is the pak and only the pak. nerfing it would completely undermine the ostheer ability to counter soviet callin heavies effectively., if the pak was in the okw i would agree with you. as the okw is loaded up to its gills with dedicated tank destroyers and a panther thats much easier to buy then the ost panther. For the record, I have posted with Acosn for 3/4 years intermittently-I may not always agree with a few of his conclusions, but what he writes is generally well-considered - and polite. This is the problem. if you dont agree with him he instantly label you as a fanboy causing clusterfucks wherever he goes. And the sad things is that he does make good points from time to time. And as i said before i have no issue with the maxim instantly suppressing. nor do i have an issue that the maxim can be a bitch to flank in the hands of a good player. what my issue is with the maxim is its 6 man team and thus durability.
