Thread: [Winter Balance Update] SOV Feedback29 Nov 2020, 07:28 AM Jump back to quoted post29 Nov 2020, 07:14 AMmrgame2 how about ram becomes available once t34 is 30% health or main gun destory. that will make more sense to sacrifice a damaged tank. and can be shot down with the lower health while charging towards you. 30% health is 192hp. instead of locking behind vet1, which is a bit harsh imo. Both are no good imo. Every gun bigger then a ostwind will pen the t34 with ease. Even ostwinds and flak hq will pen it quite frequently. The t34 will almost never connect or use ram at all with either. Just replace ram with something worth wile In: COH2 Balance

Might aswell remove the faction from the game at this point since the balance team is under the delusion that the soviets are a good faction... you know ignoring automatch winrates pickrates and tourney results... This is in part due to people maining or favoring axis being far more vocal. Most things i agree with are from the general changes regarding soviet. Mortar barrage shared cooldwon buff, halftrack healing, manual reload and formation change for mg's. The direct ones like the scoutcar engies maxims i like as well. The zis barrage delay between shots is ok i guess. The toning down off the quad aa is good as well though it may be to much. The penal and su76 change imo wont do much for these units. The sorely lack scaling. The t70 triple nerf is way over the top concidering nothing is given in return in its time frame. The t34 is a cheap meme tank. With these changes it will be a cheap not being build/usseles tank. It might be cost effective for what it does (wich is very little outside suiciding) its ai is ok at best, its at power is a joke, its armour is a joke, its hp is standard, its speed is nothing special also standard. Only its price is very special wich is the same as ram. And soon it will even require vet as well and have less impact. In: COH2 Balance

The soviets changes get the most post obviously. I do like most of them. But the t70 triple nerf and the utter nutering of ram without any noticable buff to speak off makes the t34 76 quite usseles imo. Both penals and cons being focused into a role of durability wont help penals. Penals need a bit more umpf in at or ai to be viable late game. Durability is tge role of cons. In: COH2 Balance

Squad with low entity number are not very good CQC units. Dont they ingnore cover with stg,s? Full or nearly full dps despite cover is quite good. And low model cqc squads tend to have excelent nades to win engagements. Bundle nade on stg obers pgrens and jeagers commando's are good examples of this. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: [Winter Balance Update] SOV Feedback27 Nov 2020, 12:09 PM I am good with the maxim mortar engies m5 scoutcar and the zis barrage. The su76 new vet ability i am not sure what it will achive. Its still a paper weight light to med at and quickly becomes less impactfull Same with penals. They should be more about dishing out a punch with an ai upgrade or a actual nade and cons about taking the punch wich they do just fine atm. Maybe let penals get a 7th man as wel with some vet nerfs/rework idk. The triple t70 nefs with no compensating buff to either cons or penals worries me. Putting the suicide of the t34-76 behind vet is baffeling. Just give it something like blitz or overdrive. It doesnt have the dps hp armour or pen to make it overpowered imo. In: COH2 Balance

Its just not plausible why the zis gun get a very strong ability at vet0 but the pak40 can use stun shots only at vet1 and raketen also get camo at vet1. Same for UK pak... - Another example for the vet0/vet1 discrepancy: SU85 and JP4 have more or less the same price. SU-85 can use the spot ability at vet0, the JP4 needs vet1 to get camo. The Jackson also needs Vet 1 for his special ability...and so on. Honestly, I dont know why people try to defend this discrepancy. If Pak40s could immediately stun allied tanks everybody would rightfully complain. "The focus of this patch is: Core Armies, Meta Problems" Moving strong abilities to vet1 would help a lot to achieve this goal. You seem to leave out that soviets do not have stock nades, no stock ai upgrade, no stock elite inf. Wich abilities like the zis and su76 barrage fill in for. Locking the dual role the zis has behind vet is stupid. The pak 40 is specialized hard at. You cant compare twp to barrage directly. Its not that simple. The jagpanzer 4 is a lot more durable and has i believe a much better roff. So thats its camo is behind vet is reasonable. In: COH2 Balance
