While this post finally somewhat sounds sincere for a change, I'll keep my opinion of relic and coh3 until I see results.

As it stands right now, i may play the game again in 2-3 months. We will see.

Yeah, it is too soon for them to really get it together. The time estimates are still too slow to bring a lot of excitement. I would give them a couple weeks and then hope for things to ramp up.

For now Coh3 1v1 is good. Team games look a few months out. Anyone playing team games just play Coh2 for a couple more months then move back. Sounds reasonable. We can wait. We waited 10 years.

I'il just live it there for you to figure it out why CoH3 is poopy.

Well that tells a story.

When Litty was in videos prior to release he seemed a little slow and lost as to what Coh3 should be. But I hoped he was just responsible for wrangling the actual game designers etc. His first Coh game. Now gone.

Mele was the guy who never answered a question John asked him after Coh3s release. He just kept saying they were proud of what they achieved. First Coh game. Now gone.

People say the sound is bad and thin. Janzens first Coh game. Now gone.

Cant wait to go thru this list in depth at a later date. Is it really these top people that caused the game to fail? Katitof claims to be a game guy, how much responsibility did they have? Or are there a lot more people in this list with no Coh experience?

From a technical aspect, I think Coh3 bit off more than it could handle. Seems like every aspect of the game was rewritten. Worldbuilder, modding, pathing, rendering, etc. Ian Thomson was a long time Coh guy, and this could explain why they got most of it done well? Gives me hope they can continue to improve things.

Either way, I really hate to see people get crapped on and hope these people well in the future. The game was really close to what it should have been. Just needed another year to bake maybe? But it further emphasizes what I keep saying, anyone here could get this game finished up quick because we know what it needs.

I really hope these layoffs open up some promotions within Relic to people that have actual experience with Coh. This may be a good thing eventually. It really needs some experienced person to clean it up.

If you thought COH3 development was slow with 100/100 popcap, now we have the 40/100 popcap trying to win the late game against Axis.

That's how you know that the latest CoH game has flopped.

Coh3 is so dead. And the people that need to pull up their boots and wade into the shit are not up to the task. Even if the easy stuff gets fixed in the next 6-9 months, how long will it be before the broken ass worldbuilder gets fixed? Before pathing isn't trash? It looks like years is the answer. Who wants to play an alpha with no maps for years?

SERIOUSLY
The only way to save Coh3, is to stop playing Coh3 and go back to Coh2. Relic needs to go back to supporting the game that works for another year. Right now it is bleeding from vCoh, Coh2, and Coh3. Stop the bleeding is the first part of triage.

The only thing that might change my mind is if the next announcement has some heavy goals laid out for the next patch. And it cant be 2 months away. And it cant be some little piddly shit anyone could do in a few days. Get to work people. Play time is over.
