MP balance wise, wasn't there a community balance team member hired over there? He's probably going to be out of a job if Coh3 flops so hopefully it stays on.

When Coh3 was coming I had hope that it would be good and we would get a bigger player base etc. But it was trash.

Then I had some hope they may fix stuff quick enough to save SOME of the new player base. And they gave us a store instead.

Then I deleted all Coh related stuff off my PC. But still had a glimmer of hope that maybe in 5-9 months it would be better so you guys could get the game you deserve. And instead they are giving us a single comp stomp map and maybe some player names.



Then I said "Ok, I knew their management sucked but I didnt think were drooling mongtards that floss with ass hair". This game has zero chance of success with this management. Zero. None. Coh3 is dead.


Now I just pray they dont screw it up so bad that all of the coh community guys lose their jobs.

Textures/Images in video games are usually a power of 2. This is done to speed up drawing repeating patterns using a boolean AND function to reset the pattern. Computers work in BINARY. Which is a number system based on 2.

Example to draw a repeating 8 pixel texture:
Normal way to increment and repeat a pattern:
Xpos = Xpos + 1
if (7 < Xpos) Xpos = 0

Faster way to do it:
Xpos = (Xpos + 1) AND 7

The Inner Loop
Both ways create a pattern of:
01234567 01234567 01234567 01234567

But the AND version is faster to do on a microprocessor. And this code is run more than any other code when drawing graphics. So any tiny improvement in speed is huge because this will be done millions of times per frame of video.

To render a texture to the screen there are several nested for/loops used and this is the one that is inside all the others, gets run the most, and is known as the inner loop. The faster your inner loop, the faster your game will render.

When 3D graphics first appeared this was necessary to get graphics to run smooth on a CPU based rendering engine. With modern video cards (GPU) doing the work on multiple dedicated pipelined processors, the power of 2 limit is not necessarily needed any more for speed. But still a requirement most of the time.

I hope some of that made sense. Since I am clearly insane, it probably did not.

I showed my wife the falling turd bomb and she felt Relic was trying to make it easier for players to see and understand what is happening. As opposed to a Coh2 Stuka bomb drop where there is just an enormous splash and stuff is gone from the map. Which makes the Stuka feel so much more real and impactful. The confusion created may also add to the experience by creating short term panic.

And this is what I keep saying about Coh3, I think their are some good ideas behind the changes we are seeing. As older version players it feels disconnected to us. If they had a stream where they talked in detail about some of the changes and why, people my be more accepting of the changes. Maybe they are relying on Tightrope and AE to fulfill these roles with comparison videos.

But without an explanation we just see it as a failure.
