Thread: Lightning War or Elite Troops?5 Feb 2020, 19:15 PM Lightning war is more versatile. Close air support tactical movements and g43 are give you more flexibility and is better in 2v2s overall. Elite trooos mostly gives you infantry buffs and ace tiger. Its way stronger if you want more of your combat infantry. But its a bit selfish commander and has not support/offmap strikes so its weaker in teamgames. In: COH2 Gameplay

You can activate it for a minute and then just fight normally. You will take casualties anyway. That might have been the thing when it had twice longer active period. Current one last only minutes and requires 5 models lost instead of old 4. This makes it hard to utilize in such role, only being useful as panic press when your clumped up units get barraged by katysha. I kinda wish it could get its 4 models lost requirement back to help at least a bit. In: Lobby
Thread: USF weapon racks, feature or trouble?4 Feb 2020, 19:56 PM Imo weapon racks are only annoying in that they only really benefit rifles and RE. Paras and rangers only make use of the zooks, rangers more often. If they could get better stats to bars it would be fine. 1919s can't be equipped on rangers due to not being in doctrine (not that i want to see triple lmgs, but having them long range choice would give variety) only real doc unit that benefits from bars are pathfinders, which become insanely good with them. BUT few things in balancing it: 1. Glider cannot cost the same as Commando Regiment Glider. Why? Becouse this one allow you also to recruit a commando squad, give healing and FRP. 2. Glider has to be more diversed compare to Commando Regiment version. If not i see even less arguments to pick Commando Regiment - commander that not long ago was revamped. Vanguard with a glider has also Crocodile and call-in strafe (so heavy tank and elite infantry and off map - combo that should be avoided). That's gonna be an autopick in 90% of games. 3. Free Commando squad has to go or need to be replace by a diffrent squad. I would say there are 2 options: a) recon infantry section which would work like jeagers/pathfinders (already in gamefiles with scope Lee–Enfield rifle upgrade) or b) AT commando squad so commando squad with more powerfull edition of piats c) allow to make an buildable mortar team with commando crew. - which still brits really lack. Anyway i don't get the argument why regular commando squad should stay expect it's just easy and lazy solution. 4. Glider HQ has to be repairable to make a side upgrades (healing and FRP) worthwhile. Especially in certain situations when you can't really land a Glider without wounding it. I actually suggested commando weapon teams to hq glider week back. I think they could fill the void officer made and make it diffirent of commando regi glider. You cold make as mentioned commando recon squad or mortar, possibly commando vickers with camo or ap rounds, maybe even tank hunter squad. In: COH2 Gameplay

If it goes to 260 armor and has a 20%(?) bonus, it goes to 312 at vet 2. buff the cromwell. It's 120F and doesn't hold a candle to the 110F HE sherman. Look into Su85 and jackson pen bonuses with vet. They already have some of the best stats in the game, they don't need to have 300+ penetration. nerf snipers from 1 man army concept I think cromwell has been 110 fuel for some time now. They were bit better than volks sure, but buying them at the time you had already fielded plenty of volks screwd them over. I personally like them this way more. In: COH2 Balance

"Enough to make me buy the thing?" Really? Nades are a reactionary tech, you get them if u need them. Why should they be made cheaper to "entice" u to buy them? you seriously complain about just mp decrease, that only changes potential purchache time by few seconds. You could be as well complaining about grenades on current effectiveness of rifles than such trivial change. In: Lobby

Imo its fine as that decrease of mp is enough to make me buy the thing. Also it isnt so big deal as tommy nades cost just as much to get.
