You turn that on, your Sherman is an AI tank only. However, that HE toggle is a strict boost: the AP ammo has the same AI performance as the Cromwell and Comet. Maybe even slightly better given the superior scatter. Yea I think the AP was actually contrast to the HE it would be a better "balanced" tank. The HE is great, and a huge bonus if you know there is no armour in the area, but the AP is plenty acceptable against infantry as well, and has higher than average pen iirc to boot. In: COH2 Balance

A small reload buff wouldn't be amiss I don't think, even later vet improving its abilities. I'll admit that I havnt put a whack of though on the details but as a units it's starts out solid for its price, if scaling is the issue a price reduction isn't the cure, not is buffing its stock performance. But It's OK for cromwell to be a better choice sometimes, there's nothing wrong with that at all. In: COH2 Balance

Hull and coaxial MGs do roughly the same damage. Similar main gun reload. Same main gun scatter. Same main gun AoE profile. And the Cromwell isn't very good to start with. The Comet gets the ability to simultaneously blind, torch and slow AT guns at Vet 1, which is pretty damn strong, but I'm not sure that makes up for all its other inefficiencies. But! Compared to the cromwell it also comes with extra range, pen, alot more armour and extra health and tracking against enemy armour plus can be equipped with blitz (so can the crommy at that point though) Again comparing the t34s, 40 fuel gets oy pen and health (and 10/5 armour) so all the extras seems reasonable given the price. The only thing I could really see is a vet realignment That or a hard cap and make it ~~the way it used to be. It would be easier to make it worth it if it was limited. In: COH2 Balance

Well... Aside from mobility and price the jagd IS better no? Longer range and more armour and the barrage is pretty good as well... It's not cost practical, but it is technically better... Thread: Doctrinal tank traps27 Jan 2019, 16:48 PM I don't think tank traps shiuld only be yellow cover But I do think a hazard removal kit should allow engies to remove them, making them harder to remove by simply shooting them would be a great change. Good catch. Another example of same name and different abilities... Good Ole relic. At any rate, the thread stands as the version with tank traps is super abikity heavy for a single ability, especially when compared to the Soviet version In: COH2 Balance

Thread: Doctrinal tank traps26 Jan 2019, 22:00 PM Something is amiss with the doctrines that allow access to tank traps: OKW:heavy fortifications Sturmpioniers can construct tank traps, flak emplacements and trenches OST:defensive Fortifications Allows infantry to construct sandbags, barbed wire and trenches while pioneers can now also construct tank traps and concrete bunkers SOV: tank traps Vehcle blocking tank traps can be constructed by combat engineers. These barriers will prevent vehicles from passing through Seems all well and balanced. Timing is the same for all abilities but the okw get 3 new things for sturms, Ost gets 3 things for grens and pios get 4 (repair bunker and MG Bunkers for concrete bunker ability) Soviet get 1 thing occupying a whole slot. Seems like there is a slight misallocation of what is included in these should be similar 2 CP abilities. What do you think the Soviet one should get to make it a halfway attractive ability? I don't have the profiles on hand but as an example if the far range is 0.25 damage modifier it will increase the damage from 40-50. That slightly improves it and increases its value as support because that's a whole shot less required for infantry. But doesn't improve its performance on its own nor in a wolf pack as it's still 2 shot kill with the cannon (mgs will still do shit so it'll help itself a bit there I guess but it's not that huge in that regard) Could be an interesting direction to try.
