They were not an ambush unit outside of spawning them to kill snipers, support weapons or the odd Katyusha. They were an aggressive Ober alternative. The doctrine also had the unique niche use of trading munitions for mp (by getting a Fall). All falls themselves needed though was ambush camo at vet 0. This whole rework to turm them into terminators wasn't. The commander itself was a bit on the weak side but at least it was fun. Could a combined the ability and strike together and added an ostwimd and the commander would have been golden In: COH2 Balance

They had a high skill requirement to get the most out of them but the sky was the limit for skill cap. Then somehow we ended up with a unit that you couldn't make work poorly if you tried AND had a high ceiling... They used to be a really fun change if pace from the usual "okw infantry >>>> all else in every way into more of the same... In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Panther Accuracy16 Mar 2020, 10:07 AM I don't agree that td meta can only be fixed with a mass tank overhaul. Slash their pen and give them deflection damage so they can always do a bit of damage instead of all or nothing. Heavy Armour acts as a damage reduction at least to TDs and as it does now against non hardcounters. TDs don't need guaranteed pen to work and we have reached the end of the line with this thinking. Time to try something else. In: COH2 Balance

And my point is that instead of (only) lowering the size of mediums that affect all weapons one should be lowing the accuracy of TDs... I think an overhaul of targetsizes and accuracy is needed. It's too late now (though I did suggest it a long time ago) as the numbers are simply too close for fine tuning In: COH2 Balance

I'd crank it up and lower its moving modifier so it's unchanged on the move but more accurate on the stand still (yes glide shots are a thing and still will be but more micro making a unit better isn't a bad idea thing) In: COH2 Balance

They CAN be changed, they powers that be just don't want to change them because apparently the commanders would bu up if they didn't have abilities that are literally uncounterable and defying the idea of counter play in them. The fact that okw arty flares currently cost the same as a COUNTERABLE recon plane that is insult to injury, but the very design of it is poor regardless. In: COH2 Balance
