I have a question for M.Smith,
Balancing Brit = dunno not expert.
Just delete them from the game. It'll be much easier for all.
I think ya'll
Ya'll have
If ya'll
You'll
Lul, Americans and their funny English.
Kyle answer
I had a feeling this was the case, but it's good to hear/reinforce from the official channels

I really am against any idea of building providing buffs once built for units, for casual players this would be way way way out of touch to them.
In a nutshell, just because making the game more complex and interesting for higher skilled players (or those who are constantly on the forums) may not be beneficial or find themselves lost to those who are not as skilled or who are causal (which make up majority of players).
Fucking well said mate!
Very few of the regulars take a step outside their own skin and think about everyday Joe
Well conscript are fine at the start of the game they have some issues facing late, vetted elite infantry. Buffing them will not solve the issues because they will dominate early game the same way Penals do.
If they they need a buff it should be at late game. The simplest solution is to tied to tech.
Cons don't need a buff... They are there to "replace those who've had an untimely end"

What are your thoughts on the jagdtiger ?
If the proposed changes to the Jaghtiger make it to the live game, I will be shelving this game for good. |
He's obviously exaggerating. Sturm Pio with Shrek have gawd awful accuracy and a slow arse fire rate with out vet, but it doesn't feel that way with Piat Engies who seem to never miss.
+1 on this.
Still dont understand why they placed zooks on a very fragile and squishy unit.
What other unit do you think should get shreks? Remember when volks could get shreks? Idk if I'd want taht shit back in this game.
Just give 1 shek to a squad of volks.
Alternatively, create an entirely different unit maybe?

I dont think that mobile reinforcement platforms are beneficial to gameplay and I find them even worse than FRP. Just makes no sense when you see units fighting you at key points of the map or even right infront of your base while being able to reinforce at the same time. It also encourages camping because of how easy it is to keep MGs and AT-guns alive without having to retreat them after they got hit by mortar/sniper/arty etc. If there was some sort of cool-down on reinforcing (for example units need to be out of combat for 10 seconds before they can reinforce) it would be OKish. But right now NO.
Sorry dude but you are part of the minority here, and honestly I dont see this mechanic being changed at all.
Been there since days of vCoH, and IMO you should be awarded well if you pull off a flanking manoeuvre |
There is no scope. Mr. Smith and miragefla are making a personal mod. They're getting a whole lot of attention since they made the balance patches, but this is just a mod of their own making, independent of anything Relic will do.
That's what it's sounding like at this point.

Can we please not make this into a dick swinging contest pls?
Soldier is primarily Axis player and so am I.
Wait double piats and british grenades are op?
Yes they are. Ever since they made piat a heat seeking missile.
Well to be fair, some of Brit off maps like Bombing Run(90% health trucks in one go), Typhoon Loiter(targets inf and tanks with ridiculous damage)
+1
Re: nades, only gammon is OP as fuck.
But what I will say is that Double ISG protected by Med HQ and Flak HQ costs 1260MP/165 Fuel and requires T4, if you lose all of it you essentially lose the game.
Remind my how much a mortar pit and bofors combo costs, then remind me what happens when you lose them?
If 1v1 then yes its GG, if 4v4 then mortar bofors are cancer

The reason why we only included "nativee" sounds for EF is that coh uses ALOT of language sound files, more than 1000 in total (unit answers, units answering through transmission when far away from the player with static, battlefield chatter, screaming etc.). This makes creation of sounds very hard.
Also, sounds have to be recorded professionally or else they'll sound weird.
We have a professional sound maker and voice actor on our team now.It took one month already to just create sounds for a single unit (the soviet major).
So you maybe get an impression on how hard it is.
I appreciate the hard work you have put into that mod Darc and team!
I dont really mind the unit responces; it encourages me to learn more German.
Another question for you: How come the Brits are not available to be played?
Ost/Werh/PE are and so are SU/US but not Brits? |
For those who don't know, the Easter front was a little-known theater of WWII where the Italian army attempted to invade the Easter Bunny's hideout beneath Mount Hermon. The Italian Army, as was typical for them in that era, got egg on their faces and had to retreat in shame.
Gee, thanks....
The title was meant to be eastern front |
Hi All,
I had a vCoH game last night and played the mod Easter Front against the CPU, and noticed even though I had English as the default language, the unit responses were all in German.
Is this intended to be the case?
I havent tried the Ruskies yet, I'm going to assume they too speak native rather than English? |
Considering how the historical accuracy of the Elefant was on point, it now just feels like Penals do - just another unit in a WWII themed game.
I still don't understand why it ever was in scope.
Even with the Panther upgrade, tank vs tank play is still a big problem for Ost.
Dedicated destroyers like Elefant and Stug got nerfed, which is a serious problem when you're up against a horde of SU's (not to mention Fireflys).
I am sorry I do not have a counter proposition for fixes, and may just come across as a whiner/fanboy, but I do strongly believe these units were good as is |
