If something Ostheer have trouble vs USF and there is little reason to buff Ostheer. Moving to captain ( not require second tech) is neither that late or expensive to get access to. Only issue I can see is the mobility/skill smoke being obnoxious but when you tie that punishing arty to later tech and fuel it's less spammable. Also, you can't recrew Scotts when destroyed which is part of the problem with Pak Howies... My point is that USF went from having limited access to indirect fire to have more than they need so some of these units with either be OP or UP due to overlap. There is simply not reason for mortar/howitzer/Scott/Major barrage all to be available stock and with little side tech. In: COH2 Balance

Is there any way to test if this applied to infantry combat as well? If infantry has hit boxes, then small arms should theoretically be able to scatter hit the hit box as well. Does anyone know if this could be the case? Otherwise a lot of the DPS must be reworked. Small arms also have scatter values, but from what I see these might be purely for visual effects (missed shots, ground hits, tracers etc). Collision hits require a projectiles and small arm do not have projectiles so there are no collision hits. On could consider the "scatter hits" the chance of some weapon to hit another entities than the one they are firing. In: COH2 Gameplay

Because this USF went from having to limited stock indirect fire support teams to having more than any other faction. USF went from a faction designed around infatry into a faction designed around support weapons and that is killing off ostheer. USF simply do not need to have a mortar, Pack howitzer, Scott, Officer barrage all available stock. In: COH2 Balance

That can be achieved with a number of changes like: 1) Lower accuracy remove accuracy vet bonuses The gap in target size between mediums and super heavies has increased and can be increased even more by increasing the size of Super heavies. With lowering the probability to hit one can reduce the effectiveness vs medium but keep the unit effective vs super heavies. 2) Have reload change be effected by range so that the unit becomes less effective at max range. The unit currently has the mobility to kite and no reason to fight at any range other than max. 3) Reduce power level. Lower damage pop and cost so that one does not have to depend on single TD and in trouble if he loses it. 4) Adjust vet bonuses unit become to powerful once vetted. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: 60 range TD9 Apr 2020, 19:18 PM I will say it once more. "heavy TDs" do not need to have probabilities that are close to 100% at damaging (hitting and penetrating ) mediums at 60 range. One can start by reducing accuracy at max range and removed accuracy bonuses and allowing some breathing room for meduims see how it goes. In: COH2 Balance
