- Fixed KV-8 displaying KV-2's stats
- Fixed freezing when viewing penals and cav riflemen
- Fixed improper data type for bonus damage (Didn't cause bugs but was still wrong data type)
- Fixed missing names for guns (PPSH, German Team K98 etc...)
- Changed default weapon selection from automatic to double clicking on the unit type

I introduced a new bug with the new weapon selection. It changes the name of the secondary weapon. (Stats will be the same though)

Honestly against Soviets, I don't rely on Heavy Tanks. (I'm a 1v1 player)

I use STUGs. Vet 1 Stugs with 'Target Weak Point' are generally good enough. Usually I'll use a pair as a task force to bully T34's around.

And if SU goes Tank Destroyer, I'll target weak point again, go for a flank, and assign a PG AT squad to obliterate it.

T34 Ram is not that big of a deal, IMO.

It could, but the game is already bad at communicating things to players and hidden modifiers should be avoided as much as possible. Anyway, the original point was that the Stuka in its current state is already very good against infantry and support weapons and even vehicles (as long as it doesn't get direct hits) and it's considered to be one of the best rocket arties - making it good against emplacements as well would simply make it become overwhelming.

The only thing that could be done imo is reworking it to be more like the Panzerwerfer (rockets get lower damage but deal AOE suppression) which would make it a lot fairer against infantry and team weapons (and giving OKW a proper anti-blob tool) and then moving the incendiary barrage to vet 0 or vet 1 and rework that into a garrison and emplacements counter. But those changes would be so significant that they likely will never happen at this point.

Two years ago the Stuka did get a nerf vs buildings to make it less wipey, I think it also nerfed it against emplacements. The reason was also that it is not meant to be an anti structure unit.

Mortars seem to be able to deal damage to tanks with AOE damage from near misses. Same for tank gun AOE being able to cause small amounts of damage on near misses.

Here's a near miss (first and only shot) that dealt damage to a Sherman:


The Stuka deals heavy damage (up to 200) to vehicles on near misses, which would be impossible if AOE went through a penetration check too. There's no other way to explain this as far as I know.

Because the Stuka is already very good as is and doesn't need any buffs without reworking it, but that'd likely be too much of an undertaking at this point.

So to correct myself: AOE does not ignore armor, but specifically the Stuka's AOE ignores the armor of the Mortar Pit and most vehicles because it has very high AOE penetration values. While direct hits only deal deflection damage because it has 0/0/0 regular penetration.
