A thing that Ostheer has been doing for years for their OKW allies but never appeared to be a problem for you. Your bunker "argument" would make some sense if it was in anyway unique to Ostheer. It is not. In addition the need of ostheer player to "help" their OKW teammates derives from rhe weakness of the faction to back tech. This has been acknowledged from the Mod team as an issue and they have tried to fix it in this patch. UKF can build FA and heal their teammates. USF can use the ambulance to heal their teammates, the can even "donate" their ambulance to their teammates and keep the medics. UKF medic is simply a unit that is not needed and has the potential to create issues. There is simply not reason for this unit to available as a stock unit, especially if it is limited to only one faction that already has some great healing tools. Now can we stop all non constructive posts that aim to present me as biased? If you want to challenge the my points feel free to do so but focusing on me is pointless and nonconstructive. The fast arrival of the AEC was justified when UK did not have snare options. This time is long over. Its simply not ok that the AEC can arrive sooner than the Luchs / or that the Luchs barely have any window to operate even if the fuel control was split. The simplest solution would probably to increase the tech timing. In: COH2 Balance

Thread: It's time for Main Gun Crits to go12 Dec 2020, 08:36 AM About RNG: It seem a number of people do not like RNG and have connected it "bad" events. People complain about "abandoned tanks", "main guns destroyed" and even about tanks missing or failing to penetrate. On the other hand I have not seen so many people complain when their tank hits four times in row with 70% probability to hit or when their tank penetrates four times in row with 60% chance to penetrate. That imo create a negative feeling associated with RNG. COH is game with RNG and imo that is part of its beauty. Having airplane crushes wipe whole armies as it used to be is bad design and the decision to lower the damage was a good one. On the other hand having plane crushes cause no damage as it is now in the patch preview is something I personally do not like either. In: COH2 Balance

"mortar" in ZiS. AI in penals and a niche sniper. Maxim for suppression and mortar for follow up and tank hunters for AT. I'm guessing that the tank hunters would have 3x PTSR and satchel? Even though it sounds good on paper it would still require testing. Especially in teamgames. If a units is designed as tank hunter it can get any tools they. If they use PTRS they should probably start with 2 to leave some breathing room for light vehicles and be able to upgrade after certain tech is reached if there is need to. Personally I do not like AT satchel as a design, there are 1 shots snare that have been removed from other units for good reason. They also do lots of friendly damage and can wipe out the unit using if the the guy the trow them die. In addition the best thing a vehicle can do if hit by one is to drive on the Penal and try to get some kills from the explosion. Imo AT satchel should not snare they could do high damage and temporary critical. For the Anti tank squad there are many options, AT grenades, some sort of long range disable (maybe weapons) and so on. In: Lobby
Thread: Infantry, mortars and MGs: relationship and scaling. 11 Dec 2020, 17:28 PM Or one can change them to be more real life and decrease or remove the penalties for firing in units in heavy cover garrison and trenches (from 0.5). One could even increase the penalties for other indirect fire weapons so that mortar are ever better vs units using cover that other srouces. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: [Winter Balance Update] General Discussion11 Dec 2020, 13:58 PM HQ/Bunker Medics The following change should relieve some of the issues when there are too many models in the base which blocks the path of medics. - Now have a healing aura that heals 7.5% of an infantry models health per second in an area of 5; does not stack on itself. Fixing the bug that makes the medic get stuck without healing is a good for sure. On the other hand a faster healing via AOE for medics is actually a balance change that one should be careful with since it does not effect all faction the same. Faction using squad with large numbers of entities will benefit the most while forcing retreat will be less decisive since the troops will return faster. Faction with not access to medic like USF will be at disadvantage. I would advice against the faster healing. Allow the AOE heal to fix the bug but reduce the healing speed to keep the average healing speed about the same. In: COH2 Balance

UKF received the medic squad to encourage/accommodate more diverse builds (support weapons, Assault Sections, etc.) and because it's not desirable to force people to build a FORWARD Assembly in their base. Then simply give them soviet type base heal automatron medics. I do not see how medic encourage diverse builds, UKF already have access to great healing options with IS and FA. But I do not see why it good for ostheer to build a medic bunker in their base and not for UKF to build a FA in their base. It put quite simply such a unit should either be available to all stock or to none. It could become a doctrinal unit once more. Allow me to remind you that one release the UKF have only one healing IS. There is little reason to continue to add band aids without removing the old ones. Simply add base heal and be done with it. Thread: Penals, the Elephant in the room11 Dec 2020, 13:27 PM I would tempted to test the following: T1 now produces: M3 Sniper Penals pure are AI unit with grenades and weapons upgrade. ( Satchel can be move to another unit like CE or some sort of partisan unit.0 Zis Gun T2 now produces: Maxim Mortar Tank hunter team, an "new" infantry units equipped with PTRS. The reason why the tank hunter is move to T2 is so that combination of sniper and AT infatry is not available from the start of the game. The design would also create more room for doctrines that provide support weapons. In: Lobby
