Thread: XP values need to be looked at. 11 Apr 2018, 20:57 PM OKW's Vet 5 system is broken, another thing Relic decided to change when it was a fundamental game mechanic around vet 3 systems. Balancing a Vet 5 unit is difficult. If the Vet is equal to a Vet 3 is would be broken as it would get its Vets super fast. Yet some units now are almost impossible to get Vet 5 with. In: Lobby

This has also had the added consequence of making scavenge doc a lot less popular since a) Ostwind is now useless since you can just get a P4 instead and b) Jagers are less popular due to the cheaper Fallschirmjagers. Given that it's now tied to tech, may I suggest that it becomes a non-doctrinal unit in the Schwerer HQ, maybe with a slight fuel cost reduction of 10 or so and replaced with something else in the Scavenge doc? Same goes for the Hetzer and others I supposed, though that's been covered by a different thread in here. p4 is the better choice, flak ht is better at killing Air. Issue is that you don't want the Call in meta back from the dead, yet many of these units are useless as is now (m10 compared to jackson, ostwind compared to p4). Maybe a higher costs for all call ins to compensate for being call in again? In: Lobby

Not only can tommies offset that with a small cost (for all infantry they build) they are also more durable to begin with but also get the same rec acc buff (-23%) a whole vet level sooner Thr problem with dual wields iis that it allows already superiour units to widen that gap to ungodly unmatchable levels. Double guns make fresh squads fight like vetted squads and vetted squads near undefeatable. Yeah now that you mention it making the Bren a mg42 copy would probably be a bit op. Still the Bren would need a slight buff if made a single wield IMO. My biggest worry is that they changed the Bren/Bar to a single wield but don't balance it properly in which the upgrades become up. I do agree however the Dual wield needs to be looked at as single upgrades imo is better for game balance/health In: COH2 Balance

It sounds interesting considering its takes a medium between the two, Taking the flexibility the MoW system while also preventing the micro hell hole by not making them individuals. Thread: Balance 2018 2vs211 Apr 2018, 16:27 PM Id say dual brens is a bit OP. One bren is okay but 2 brens are ridiculous in cover. Make it one slot, give it the dps of the mg42 and itll be easier to balance against axis squads. The bar would be put in line if its long-range strength was toned down slightly at the same time you don't want to overnerf the Bar as it'll make the upgrade subpar. And Katitof is right about lmg rifles. Back in the day vet 3 Rifleman's Squads with double 30 cal were insanely strong at all ranges and unkillable with the RA vets. The only real squad that could compete with them were the broken Obersoldaten at the time. In: COH2 Balance
