That doesn't make it a bad unit "only having value as an AA unit". Okay but that's part of what people are saying. No one should build a quad if they want AI power. It's not terrible, but it's not good enough to justify delaying a t70. And if you get it right after the t70 that makes even less sense because of the p4 that's about to be breathing down your neck with nothing to contest it In: COH2 Balance

None going for calliope or priest will use scotts consistently because you are painfully vulnerable to tanks. The scott is not even close to the same role as the Calliope or Priest. What are you talking about? Literally the only thing they have in common is the word artillery. After that the units aren't even remotely similar Calliope is good against blobs, priest is good against team weapons/structures, scott is all-purpose anti-infantry. You pick the one you need, you don't get both of them unless your opponent is allergic to building vehicles... A pak howi calliope jackson turtle is the only usf meta you’ll ever see. If they are camping and relying on artillery, you should easily be able to outnumber their tanks... If you can't fight 1 jackson I don't know what to tell you For some reason you think choosing a scott makes you too vulnerable to tanks, but camping with a pak howy and a Calliope is somehow an ironclad defense against anything... Well now you've lost me cause the AAHT is way better at fighting ground units than the quad. Can suppress on the move, and has the flak cannon to help against light tanks. It also arrives earlier... That's nonsense, the scott is really good and I'm suggesting it get buffed so it would absolutely still get used. If USF gets Calliope non-doc and gets to keep the pak howi, it will just camp hard and nuke everything from orbit. Your just skipping right over the part where I said to nerf the Calliope before it becomes stock... If someone is relying that much on pak howie's and calliopes (after being nerfed...) then your tanks should be able to mop the floor with them... In: COH2 Balance

No thanks. I would instead remove the scott, buff it, and make it more expensive and doctrinal. Makes way more sense In: COH2 Balance

SO gets 3/4x Obers Kar and a pistol / PGren STG 44, along with 0.8 target size. Veterancy bonuses are roughly the same, but the SO has significantly higher max veterancy DPS at ~ 44,8/20,2 at ranges 10/35 vs the Commissar's 26,6/10,75 along with a slightly smaller target size (0.64 vs 0.67). Commissar gets a lethal grenade too. SO just gets a smoke nade iirc In: COH2 Balance

(In addition the AO suffer from very high reinforcement time). I could be misreading here but I think you mean penal SVT? The commissar has penal SVTs (held by guards models i think) and 1 pistol if I'm not mistaken If anything it supports your point more because I believe penal svts are better than guard mosins in most cases In: COH2 Balance
