Because the original bergetiger (returning) and vampire half track weren’t a stretch either right, or the luftwaffe existing in any strength with 44-45 vehicles on the ground. Jags tigers and elefants in almost any 4’s match? Or the original tiger ace, and it’s successor in coh 2. How about invulnerable aircraft dropping fuel to Germans also in the 44-45 period. But no the black prince is the straw that breaks the German camels back? Kinda comical. The vehicles may have existed but their performance in coh was beyond fantasy, personally not much bothered to see the allies get some wunderwaffe treatment after two games of German abilities and units that test the deepest depths of historical fiction. |
INteresting topic in general. Sadly, I have first hand experience with this (I got banned from coh2 for 14 days), so let me tell you something from actual gameplay:
- There is literally ONE person handling bans and reports for COH2 gameplay in Relic. And you have to send them the replay along with a description of the incident in the fucking company email haha.
- As such, the span of tolerance or not does not really exist. You either do something bannable or you don't. It's not like Riot or Valve that can ban you for even micspamming to "keep the game clean". No no no.
- So anyway, the bannable offenses are: basekilling (the most oftenly reported), bypassing the "racism" censoring and spamming slurs (that's why I got banned purpotedly), wiring your friends base, wiring obscene gestures (I once saw someone wiring a swastika logo because he was losing) and if you hack.
- No other reasons can be grounds for ban, simply because of how understaffed the department of corrections of coh2 is.
- As such, you have no reason to cry. What your teammate did is most certainly annoying, but not bannable.
Spoken like someone who cant be accountable to their mistakes. The last point is funny. We don't need bigots or base rage kiddos man and if your best reply is that "Literally ONE person" and "you have no reason to cry" Id say you got what was well earned. |
Yeh but commandos retreating can cover a mass retreat of tank exactly the same way a tank smoke can cover the retreat of wounded soldiers
The broken logic of this question is mind blowing. Commandos are not free, using them to cover your tanks retreat is a skill cap play. I could say something equally dumb like smoke dispensers that come in Wher docs is technically a free unlock but costs to use and coverts the tanks and any low units retreat, HOWEVER it is a GOOD PLAY made via skill cap.
As was also pointed out in this thread, ST have the same camo with an extra second to jump cover to cover so this is a bit of a comedy, or a full blown step brothers bunkbed scene. (thinking the second one) |
PLS stop trying to derail this thread with your word games.
I have not posted a single post saying that this tactic is "game breaking".
Thanks.
I don't think anyone here is really trying to de-rail your thread. I think many people here just simply disagree with the view that its an issue, myself included. |
The fact you see an argument is an issue, along with coming out with names as well. You have +12,000 posts here. Anyone is as welcome to the forum as you are its not an argument.
Regardless the JT has been given its ability of a barrage, the ISU has its concrete round, the PAK 43 shoots through all shot blockers at all times. We do not need to blend their behaviors as they each perform their tasks perfectly.
The JT/Ele/ISU already stagnate gameplay I don't see how adding this kind of ability would to anything but remove a counter play to the unit such as flanking via shot blockers. Hence a frankly terrible idea.
You can say have a nice one to anyone you like and think they have to cease expression of opinion but it doesn't work like that when you create threads on ideas that would affect the game we all play. Not that I see it as likely in any realm the unit will see any further changes. |
Forum warrior? You are trying to add a static emplacements "behavior" to a mobile TD. This is a bad idea plain and simple. To make it a one shot thing as well would mean almost a copy paste of concrete round which is just silly. It is by no means false that coh is built on asymmetry of abilities. |
The game is built on asymmetry not consistency.
Your idea wouldn't be an targeted area ability either by suggesting this ability would track (not truck) targets through buildings unlike all the abilities you are claiming consistency with. The only unit that would track like this at the moment would be the Pak 43 with vision of the target opposite an obstruction (a static emplacement). So again, all facets of this idea are terrible for a mobile TD. |
I did, and the game doesn't need a TD firing more than 1 shot through objects. The Pak 43 fills this role already permanently with no ability required and the 17 pounder can be destroyed outside of its range by the JT and Ele. Again a pretty terrible idea. |
You mean just make concrete round but better for the JT.... Sounds like a terrible idea. |
Zeroing dont auto aim on units, zeroing has friendly fire, zeroing takes like 5+ seconds charning up before it actually start being devastating.
Zeroing is just another artillery ability, which works like any other artillery based ability except it needs constant vision.
Abilities are closest to overwatch - all plane based abilities, but unlike auto-aiming planes AT overwatch cant be countered by AA and it cant be doudged.
Zeroing does all of those things. And if you watch the posted videos from click to first shot on the ground is about 5 seconds for AT overwatch. So again, AT overwatch has the same counters, back out of the circle. If someone has hit you well with this ability it was as well planned as most zeroing strikes are as you need to maintain vision and keep the units in the circle. With ram no longer causing immobilizations that's not the easy task some here are claiming it is. That and its been shown that the more tanks in the circle the LESS effect the ability has. This ability has zero guarantee of working so I don't see how that can be an auto OP label. |
