Swarming, getting to the sides and behind Axis tanks and wiping them out. For exactly that reason I don´t get why some people even build the T-34/85. The T-34/76 is way more cost efficient and the 85mm gun still doesn´t offer that much more. Both tanks usually need to flank. Yet you get a lot more T-34/76s for the cost. In: COH2 Balance

Perhaps increase their price to equivallent to get the same stats + (10-20 armour pen to make it reliable against other medium tanks) The increased fuel costs of those vehicles were solely introduced to compensate the immense fuel float OKW had after the income adjustments, not to reflect their performance. Thread: Swap PIV&Panther OKW to WEHR4 Apr 2017, 15:57 PM Problem is that Ostheer doesn´t get the lategame strenght it had in its initial design because the OKW Panther (roughly the same vehicle as Ost one) arrives earlier. Introducing the Panther a second time to the game and making it way earlier accessible for OKW was a design flaw to begin with. This meant a lategame vehicle had to be tuned down to be balanced in the mid game. Now that the OKW Panther is balanced however, there is no reason to keep the Ostheer Panther as weak as it is. I´m suggesting for months now that the Ostheer Panther should get the OKW Panther stats (which is way better MGs). In: COH2 Gameplay

I think you understood me a bit wrong here. That´s exactly what I´m saying. Flame weapons are only good if there is no Bofors around. Ostheer has huge problems once the first Bofors arrives to support the mortar pit. This hard counters every flame-ht or flame-pio. The only saving grace is the mortar-ht or your chances of losing are high. As for OKW, it´s easier countered. Yet it´s not a non issue. Being forced into dual Infanteriegeschütz every game is lame and reduces the quality of the game. The problem is not that it is hard to counter with OKW but how dull the game becomes. In my opinion that is the last crutch Ostheer has, fighting the insane Cromwell and Comet advantage Brits bring for the mid-endgame. StuGs are countered by one AT gun since they have 50 range and have to commit more than the 60 range TDs. Two AT guns will usually finish the StuG before it can escape. That being said: The main issue is not the StuG but - as you mentioned - the Comet overperforming and the design flaw of having only mediocre armor on a heavy tank (which means you will have to repair after every engagement). Thread: been gone for 8+ months..3/28 patch worth coming back ?23 Mar 2017, 19:15 PM I played only three games with the pre-patch. I think it depends on the game mode. 2vs2 up might still be dominated by British mid lategame dominance + 60 range tds. Once the Cromwell and Comet train is rolling there is no stopping them. Axis have a bit more breathing space early-mid game though since the squad wipe machines (T-70, Stuart and AEC) got a bit nerfed. In: Lobby

I don´t see how this is going to fix turtling Brits, Comet spam and Artillery cover abuse lategame or non-viable Ostheer Panthers, Panzer IVs struggling versus cheaper Cromwells and Tigers that are little more than a glorified medium tank. And then we might be stuck with that for another half year. The only thing I have my hopes up for are more viable Pionierspam possibilities for the lolz. In: COH2 Gameplay
