Lately? It seems to me like the overwhelming majority of the community for this game has always been a bunch of whiny, toxic crybabies.
Yes it is true, but lately I have the feeling people get more cranky.

...That many people in the forum make me feel so uneasy. Since a couple of days (maybe more, maybe since the last patch deployment in fact), I have the impression the rage between players and fanboism fights have taken a huge boost overwhelming the usual general discussion. I can't find a thread involving somewhat balance or gameplay when after a couple of replies the OP receives an arty barrage of L2P/Fanboy/Troll going very high (the way I interpret it in the forum). I see now people who were before more or less neutral in their replies going hard and aggressive in one or the other direction. Some guys can't open a thread without being personally insulted and considered as retarded etc... I agree some of them probably need to be kind of educated on the forum usage and thread spam abuse but I think this is the role of the moderation to do so, many players are doing dark/white knight of the forum instead of contacting them. Listening the majority of the people, the game hasn't been more enjoyable since the last patch but it is not reflected in this forum where, if the balance is that good and the meta open and interesting as many claim, discussions should be much more peaceful. I have ever see someone posting on a Faction dedicated sub-forum "how to/new meta basic question/stuff" being assist by a couple of players, not playing the faction, not bringing any contribution to the topic, just being rude with him just because they don't like the faction. Don't take it as a troll but lately, I found the official fora much more friendly than Coh2.org/coh2 sections. Am I the only one? is the the Holiday effect? In: Scrap Yard |

USF problems are more related to 1- Rifles being dead meat on moving legs once Wherm equip his 2 first LMG on his gren squads. 2- Micro tax far more important since Ostheer has been buffed. Months ago Relic made us a nice statement about their understanding on micro level gap between allied factions and axis factions (mostly USF vs other factions). Since then nothing has been done to reduce it. Worst, 221 has been buffed, sniper buffed, mg42 buffed, stug buffed etc... All for good reasons for sure but as collateral effect reducing the micro requirement to manage them and increasing the micro management to face them, directly affecting USF. Rifles need badly more resilience with their vet, being toughest to hit (especially when retreating) and increasing their accuracy while moving, and this badly since the MG42 buff. There is nothing worst than following the meta wanted by Relic like a good little boy = flanking, being repelled because Ostheer has now equal number unit than you to defend and see 1- You don't do any damage because you must move all the time to reposition out of his suppression cone. 2- His squad shred in little pieces after hitting the retreat button because you had to go behind his line. What about your opinion since you only play with them and never against them with USF, your opinion is as relevant as mine. You probably know how you are using them but I know better how the majority of 1vs1 OKW players are using them since I'm facing them in 1vs1. And it is not amazing. Saturday I face a player from this forum in 1vs1 who was using them as a kind of main line infantry after some time, no cover usage, a-move, no insta-retreat when facing armor and not supported by ATstuff. People are also complaining about Scott insta-wiping the squad which is 99% bullshit, many many times, the Scott fire 2 or 3 times before touching a squad moving, and sometime the 4th shot is a headshot, but the Scott shot 2-3 times before. Which means 2-3 warnings not taken in account. Many people are counting on their luck, it miss 1, it missed 2, miss 3, and it gonna probably miss again and again until it doesn't miss and wipe. If people were retreating in time vs a scott, or going cover, they would not suffer those wipes. In: COH2 Balance |

Dunno why they should cost less / be more potent, they are non-doc and you can get them after unlocking a 80 fuel truck around 8 min (1st truck is fuel free). They are always there if you can't get any other elite from doctrines. Making them more potent / cheaper and people will simply spam them again. I'm not playing with them (not playing OKW), I agree they deserve a better spacing but I see so many players just A-moving them like they were still the terminator they use to be before that I think the main issue comes more from the player than the unit. Thread: Why do YOU prefer Axis over Allies?1 Aug 2015, 12:08 PM
That´s simply not true. 4men squads standard are not forgiving to play. Especially not versus ammo-floating Soviets with omni-purpose mines and a focus on artillery. They are. You don´t need to attack for the first 5-7 minutes with your gren, just stay in cover and hold your fuel until you feel comfortable to start to push back. In fact this is probably the biggest challenge early game for Ostheer, to not overextend too fast and so create holes in your line of defense. Playing USF, you always feel under pressure by the time. playing Ostheer, only times I have felt the pressure were when I have been matched vs top50 players while I´m definitively not good with Ostheer. Thread: Why do YOU prefer Axis over Allies?1 Aug 2015, 09:34 AM
Because they are easier to play while not being OP. Below Top200, at equal skill Axis are much more forgiving than Allied. You can only lose if you have been outplayed. If I feel I´m not going to be 100% focused, I switch to Ostheer because the faction is damned simple to play. In: COH2 Gameplay |
Thread: Why no countdown for rifle nades?31 Jul 2015, 17:12 PM
Dunno why people don´t want to add a timer or better tracer like any other grenade. Or just remove the timer for all grenades because as far as I see, all grenades have an enough long animation. In: COH2 Balance |
Thread: M26 Pershing/Calliope Debate29 Jul 2015, 10:11 AM
Before adding new stuff old stuff should be fixed. Thompsons crews, m3, recon paratroopers, forward observation, ability to lay sandbags, all this stuff which were useless since release need to be redone/seriously buffed. Pretty much that, but I would not refuse a new commander with a Pershing or calliope aside The same people on this forum are always jumping in that kind of thread to deny the idea of USF having heavy tanks. Incredibly they are well know to be Axis Fanboys in their vast majority. The meta have change a lot since couple of weeks, the USF early faction vs Axis late game meta isn´t anymore. If all factions should have the tools to perform equal at all stages of the game, then USF needs late game options. In: Lobby |
