Suppression for Grens.. Bug/Working as intended?

Just wondered what the deal is with Grens at the moment.

I've had a few games now, where my units haven't been in any contact with the usual suppression units, but become suppressed in an engagement with 2+ Grens.

Can't recall any patch notes regarding this, working as intended?

Grens do a small amount of suppression + new suppression vis a vis incremental accuracy mechanics = blobs getting occasionally suppressed by massed grens.

One gren does have a chance to suppress one other unit as well. Havent seen any other troop of mine of a different faction do it yet, but i have had one gren walk up to one riflemen squad and suppress it.

I think I experienced this earlier, dunno if it was a gren. But thats pretty shitty if this is true.

I experienced it a few times but I think it happens when the unit is on red cover

I have experienced it once and that was my first game in the new patch on Moscow Outskirts. Could be possible that if you shoot enough with Grens at units in negative cover you will suppress since the enemy unit will not recover that quickly out of cover and units take 50% increased suppression from most weapons.

Yep, happened to me with penals in green cover twice. Suppression only lasted a second each time.

All units have Suppression, but it's extremely low. Pretty much only exists to stop supposed units from recovering. Relic probably misplaced a decimal on the Grens which allows them to actually suppress.

One of my 2 cons got suppressed by 2 grens for a really short time while being out of cover because of closing in. Grens were without LMG upgrade.

2 con's means a lot of models are standing next to each other. That's enough in the games mind to dictate a "blob" and therefore those grens are getting more powerful from the new incremental accuracy.
