I am not sure where this thread is going.
Do you want tips or just an impression what other people usually play with?
For me it's
SOV- guard motor, ISU commander, shock army or combined arms
OST- German infantry, Osttruppen or the Elefant commander
USF- heavy cav, airborne
OKW- spec ops, (the goliath commander)
UKF- both commanders with commandos, royal artillery and sometimes the AVRE if I am in the mood for it.

SU - Lend-lease, commissar. Really, lend-lease give you early M5 with close-combat squad. In this timing your enemies don't have any AT. Especially strong versus OST because 222 can't kill m5 with proper micro.
OKW - elite armor. 2 pumas with AP shells could easy kill 3 t-34, just kite and smoke. 2 TD + 2 wstuka for late. Crit repair good bonus.
USF - Infantry company, airborne and pershing.
OST - OStruppen with relief, German inf. If i can make at least 2 squads of osttrupens, then relief infantry give me endless cannon fodder for capping points.
UKF - lend-lease, commandos. 2 CP m5, thompsons with WF grenades. very strong versus OKW, because stg and thompsons have compareable range.
Infantry bulletins.

I think it's a good minigame that let's you guess which game mode they play based on their commander choices.

Brits: Commandos (Vanguard if its a teamgame where neither opponent has LEFH in loadout)

OKW: Fallschirm but I will give up on it
Soviet: B4 is fun and KV-1 strong
USF: Urban because it has everything and allow you to skip nades and have rocket arty that can't die and better sherman. Spam rangers with 3 zooks is also possible and really effective.

That's not because the unit is bad but mostly because it doesn't fit well with the T2 that I want to use more often ^^
