Is this a good tank worth calling n?

I like the defensive bonus it provides, I like how it can fight infantry and certain light vehicles

I don't like that it doesn't get a coaxial mg upgrade


Is this vehicle in a good place?

i would reduce its command points, it already needs t3 or t4 teched, which is 10 fuel less, and 40 mp more than tiger. It doenst need to be 6 or 7 cps, just reduce it to 5 or even 0 cps so you can get it as first tank and it should be fine

Yeah I feel like it's not that scary of a tank anyway. I really like when it gets armor skirts

Ya maybe it could use some changes. I really only play Ost, and I am not pro or anything close to that. But it does seem like P4 Command Tank could use some love

The Ostheer command tank should be a Panzer IV F2, not a Panzer IV F1.

I'd like to see it be commander P4.J,about 400MP+150fuel,need phase2 and 8cp,default have panzer commander,and vet bouns is special can increase aura buff like commander panther

Give it sherman HE rounds on permanently, makes sense since thats what the stubby barrel was more for anyways and it finally has a role and not just a gimped pz4 that struggles to pen a t70.. and has 5 more penetration than the 70's main gun.

It shouldn't start with skirts or have HE shells. It's a command tank, it's strength should be through the aura. right now while ok supporting teammates it's a bit lackluster in 1vs1.

It's an early war blitzkrieg tank so give it an acceleration and speed buff with tied to the aura when surrounded with allied armor. Then it has some flavor.

I think it should get the 20% DR aura back.

A patch cut it to 10% because it was ostensibly too powerful, but the fix didn't go through and it stayed at 20% for over a year. The complaints about it stopped nonehteless.

Now it's not a call-in, it could really do with that stronger aura to make it worthwhile.

the problem with 20% while barely having inpact on tanks in comparison to 20% is that the inf fights are somewhat fair, imagine grens with 40% reduced dmg vet 3 :)

It sounds great on paper, but has it ever really been a meta defining unit?

If the unit needs a buff, the aura should add something in a different direction. Damage modifiers are not something you should be messing back n forth, specially on permanent things.

I disagree: the 20% DR was a nice, straightforward aura with a powerful effect. There's no need to layer on even more unnecessary complexity.

The unit is simply not worth it especially with the ridiculous requirements. (CP 7 with Dozer at 6 and ST at 8 and Super heavies at 9)

Simply removed it from Mobile defense and fix it.

As for auras imo they should all scale and be split into 2 part a low one passive and bigger active.

The effect was there to counter old levels of lethality and only on owned territories which made the unit clunky to use.

For it to gain 20% DR back, it would have to follow one of this options:

-Munition based active ability. 10% Passive, increased to 20% for a certain duration of time.

-20% DR only on your own tanks. 10% only on allied ones and your own infantry (due to recent Gren change).

-+10% when units are on owned territories.
