In my opinion game is heading in the right direction but relic need to stop the attitude to nerf one faction AND buff the other cause the effect get multiplied and just create op and up stuff

Penalties were removed, but upgrade costs never got prices up.

From what I see, and experienced first hand, they are completely useless to build now.
The squad DPS change is 35%(close), 30%(mid), and 11%(far) INCREASE.
You haven't even played the game.
Why wasn't a LMG34 introduced instead of tempting to overlap a 4 man squad that does way more damage that comes from the same tier? At least with an LMG34 upgrade the player has the option to not go tier 4 or doctrine. For half ass infantry.
Because when you have all playerbase complaining about LMG meta, you do NOT add more LMGs.
Volks and spios have completely 2 different dps profiles, that goes for StGs as well.

Still getting insta wiped, still can't stand up to horrids of double LMG USF/UKF that can fire on the move. One member loss is an insta 25% decrease in firepower...

The patch goal wasn't suppose to create axis into ubermensh, but to balance the game and lessen squad wipes.
Mines do not wipe squads, its direct gren buff, because you're not losing them anymore.
And CHEAP grens with CHEAP upgrade are NOT meant to win against EXPENSIVE tommies or rifles with expensive dual upgrades. Use HMG, which also was buffed by preventing gunner from being killed first.

That doesn't matter, those aren't essential upgrades. Besides, each faction spends about as much resources on sideteching everything, e.g. zooks, nades and healing as OKW spends JUST on healing.
Unlocking healing is no decision, because everyone will unlock healing sooner or later, the exception is OKW because their Healing costs so much fuel they will literally be unable to purchase anything else in time, and add to this that there are no useful units in the med truck, things get very hard.
I'll say it again(and again and again), it was NOT an issue for the last 2 years, it is NOT an issue now.
OKW always got healing last and there was nothing wrong with it back then, OKW getting healing 30 seconds later will NOT change anything.
These upgrades were granted the moment OKW lost penalties but kept vet5 system.
And yes, you DO have decision making now, you now CHOOSE if you want to support yourself with spio vet1 crates or open medics by paying different resources.
Obviously, you will end up with medics eventually anyway, but its not the only viable option for early game any longer now. |

Why is it that only OKW is sacrificing it's AT abilities? If handheld AT is such a problem why does USF have both snares and handheld AT still availible on their core infantry.
Because only OKW had overpowered, laser guided, alpha strike AT on cheap, durable platform.
It was never an issue for USF, because you can't spam rifles, because upkeep will eat you alife, you can't spam zooks on all squads because you'll lose too much AI and if you don't spam zooks, you won't have the alpha strike capabilities the shreck had.
Healing will take even longer now. If you mech truck your going to have to get the side upgrade to keep your AT SP on the field.

I just ran a handful of tests in cheat mod and volks with stg upgrade can barely 1v1 a cons squad long range.
That is very surprising, considering the fact that volks effortelessly BEAT cons on long range with no upgrades and StGs increase DPS at ALL ranges.
I have no idea what you guys are talking about when you claim that the stgs are a good upgrade. Maybe is the whole squad got stgs or the stg profile was like the SPs. Stgs =/= an LMG, why are there only 2 in the package?

Volks StGs are completely new weapon with completely new weapon profile.
I agreed that schreck blobing was a problem, I suggested to tie schrecks to the a mount of trucks set up to curb the blobbing. But as it stands now, getting caught with your AT out of position is GG and the stg package is hardly an upgrade.
Hard limits are never an option unless we talk special units(aura units) or 200+ fuel armor.
And guess what? This is how soviets, ost, british and for the most part USF always played!
