Also, since you missed like a year of changes and balance patches, TDs costs, performance and most importantly pop cap was rebalanced in a way that its incredibly difficult to get more then 1, unless TDs are going to be your whole and only armor. KT should ""counter"" any of the listed tanks but hey, its a meme tank nowdays... How panther is wrekt by any single one of them, when it outranges all of them? Only vetted pershing and IS-2 stands to it. And KT roflstomps over all of these tanks, what are you tring to say? KT AT performance is excellent, its AI is lacking. OKW Panther arrives much earlier then Ost panther and is in lower tier, it needs much less resources to tech/get it then ost panther. Churchill has 240 armor. Churchill AVRE has 290 armor. Churchill Croc has 290 armor. KV-2 has 300 armor. KV-1 has 270 armor. KV-8 has 260 armor. ISU-152 has 340 armor. Pershing has 300 armor. The IS-2 is not the only Allied tank with high armor. And JP4 is not the unit intended to engage high armored units. Its why Panther exists. What's your point? In: COH2 Balance

If any unit had a 20DPS at long range, that's still 4 seconds before any model drops and only if whole squad focuses on it, not taking any rec acc into account, which plenty of units(especially axis) have out of the gate. And how am I wrong here and not you? In high TTK CQC squads will just walk up to you and rip you to shreds, because you have NO DPS to actually bleed them on mindless approach, that alone is a hard proof that your theory is as wrong and incorrect as it can get. Even if CQC squads also had lower DPS, they would still have much more DPS then ranged squads, except now there is nothing short of HMG or blob to threaten them in any way, meaning they can get close even easier and rip to apart without suffering much if any attrition at all. You have to be exceptionally in love with your own ideas to not see something as obvious as this. In: COH2 Balance

Yes... moving unit is at disadvantage because it has lower DPS.... because the other unit is using cover... therefore moving unit can't just stop and start unloading, what could happen in high TTK enviroment... because positioning matters much more in low TTK environment... and shorter TTK promotes good positioning even pre engagement and elchino7 already explained to you why. It really boggles my mind why you try to swim upstream so hard despite being clearly wrong. In: COH2 Balance

Which means the unit who already was in cover had a great advantage by being in cover and not taking damage that could change that outcome. Which means cover is more important with high lethality, which means you also need specialist durable CQC units or units advancing on terrain WITH cover to protect themselves on approach/positioning, which means cover is much more meaningful and impactful in low lethality setting, which contradicts your own personal (and wrong) opinion. Target HP / DPS = time to kill (on average), no? Assuming DPS factors in penetration chance ofc. Only for infantry. In armor combat damage increments and damage values play massive role. Example: Elephant vs M5 halftruck and T70. M5 has 320 hp, T70 400. DPS as you would make it would give different time to kill, when, assuming hits, for both its the exact same time. In: COH2 Balance
