Instead of the Panther (Panzer III/IV development goes back to before the war), at the most basic they were probably better off with a medium tank that had the engine of the Sherman and had a lower cost, sloped superstructure that was only a few tons heavier than the Sherman. Then their typical specifications of 5 man crew, 75 high velocity, 80+ rounds of ammunition, visibility, sloped frontal armor @ 80mm could be put into place. That's what I think, anyway. That would be the e-50, the best medium tank in ww2 never produced. Thanks to Hitler's irrationality he believed that warfare would be dedicated by larger and larger supertanks to the point of the p-1000 ratte. good thing he was wrong. In: The Library

Even Diamond, you just need to remember a BO, execute it perfectly, A move and you can win. Back then their was no master or grandmaster league only reached to diamond. however even gold level SC2 required more micro then coh 2 In: COH2 Balance

MG42/MG34s have a huge arc, thus you have to redeploy them less, therefore you are doing less micro. Plus last patch nerfed just that, the turning/pivot speed of the maxim. Maxims can be easily flanked. Being a former platinum (which is hardly the elite league ) SC2 player i laugh if you call that micro. also that very tiny nerf didnt do anything for flanking In: COH2 Balance

Ever heard of the Kubelwagon? It's beastly if properly microed and the maxim does less dmg to it than conscripts. Ever heard of Fallschirmjagers? Just pop behind the maxims and kill them Lastly, maxims require more micro than MG34/MG42s or 50.Cal. Nonsense. You talk as if the IG18 will hit with every shot that is just bullocks. just like the mortar the support gun is useful in displacing and weakening mg's and enemy mortars but do not expect it to kill a well microed mg. automatic weapons greatly benefit from vehicle size allowing all their shots to hit so no idea where that comes from. And FSJ are doctrine dependant and its utter bullocks to even suggest as a counter and second not every map has building. also its a one time affair. now stop posting your just embarrassing yourself. I m using the same set of commanders which the game came out with and they offer enough to complement my tactics. Baloney. Commander can have a very hefty impact on the game. thats why you see some other commanders not being played and some extensively. the ost and soviets have some particular bad commanders and some commanders like mechinzed dcotrine can completely change the game. The us and okw commanders have less impact that is true but they still have impact. Currently my favourite doctrine vs the AM is scavenger doctrine as provides ample amount of AI power. and that ostiwn has won be quite a few games already In: COH2 Gameplay

As if getting rifle nades off on maxims wasn't easy enough already, now we want to be able to rifle nade without getting shot at at all? OKW doesnt have riflenades. also if you where forced to use a riflenade against every maxim it would be a massive balance issue. ost has more tools available in the form of mortars snipers and 222 scout cars the okw doesnt. But why dont you tell me why maxim should even exist and why this tactics that goes against every single principle of coh should be so effective.. i never heard of mg42/34 spam or 50 cal spam. A slight damage reduction is mroe in order. Thats what im aiming for this way the maxim can no longer be used without cosncript squads supporting it while retaining its mobility. And ffs you and i know that nobody buys mg42/maxims or whatever mg for its damage. your suggesion is just terrible. In: COH2 Balance

I lose Maxims way more often than MG42s. If you allow the SP to flank you then you have not been paying attention mate. And what you describe is classic case of bad luck. of all the men in the maxim squad the one pushing the gun continually gets killed. In: COH2 Balance
