AT yes but AI? Reload and scatter area are very good on the Command P4. Plus it has the same MGs like a normal P4, so overall it probably does perform decently vs infantry. In: COH2 Gameplay

Stat wise the Command P4 gun is quite good vs infantry compared to a normal P4, also MMX's simulation shows that. Can't remember though when I last used the Command version. And while the gun lacks AI power compared to the Valentine it also has another MG. In: COH2 Gameplay

But either way thats not grens really needs... As I said I have not used them enough to really know how the G43 fares against Allies. But IF they need a buff, it could be a small durability buff to let them close in a bit better and better fulfill their role. Sprint could work similarly In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Gren G439 Nov 2020, 17:37 PM I also agree that G43 on Grenadiers are not great, but also not that bad. The upgrade saves some munitions early on while giving a decent DPS boost. It's okay though that it is not better than the MG42 upgrade. However I have to say that I did not play much with them recently, but if the general consensus is that they could use a small buff then I'd say either a utility buff (sight range increase or sprint) or move the 10% RA buff from vet squad leaders to here In: COH2 Balance

Are you seriously suggesting to use tank destroyers against an ATG? In: COH2 Balance

It would still need some buffs to compensate but you should at least have to use some skill when it's shooting through a building As stationary AT guns with no defense against infantry I feel like they are unique enough to have a perk like that My point is not balance wise, but that this feature is unintuitive and nonsensical. I know it is a game, but for me personally that stretches the suspension of disbelief that I can give a bit too far at least when it comes to shooting through terrain. In: COH2 Balance

It would need other buffs, but shooting through walls and even terrain by default is everything but intuitive. Especially since all other units's projectiles collide with terrain. In: COH2 Balance

And at that moment Assaut-Grens were obsolete. So or so, its a long time since this days. thx for writing the correct timing. The timings between betas and patch-releases are often very confusing. Edit: And still, the time for a real Ostheer-fix are gone, because it needs design changes. And that means making Ostheer and OKW more similar or mixing funkctions. Or it might just generally be a bad to idea to give a faction that was (at the time) supposed to be struggling for life and focused on keeping the enemy at distance a very early tool to go toe to toe. Especially since Soviets only had the option of closing in. Strong early game pioneers go directly against Ostheers defensive and static design. Is that design itself good? Debatable, but it also does not make sense to make a game with hypermobile factions only. Currently, Ostheer's rooster is the best in the game in the sense that every unit makes sense at the stage of the game when it arrives plus even after that. Every unit has its unique feature that does not get overshadowed by another unit. And most importantly it does not have a shitty unit in the first place. Other factions can only dream of that. Panzerwerfer do suppression, that will be very stupid. xD All over, friendly fire will be a massive nerf for all Allii fractions. For Brits it is normal meta to run into their own base-arty etc. Last time I saw a toxic team-mate was 5 years ago... simply play with mates and not random... Does not matter, worth the wipe. PWerfer is good because if your opponent does not realize what is going on withing the first seconds, it's a guaranteed hit. Grens are more likely to retreat with Conscripts up close anyway, plus Katy does not burst as much. Still works though. Point is that you take a bad fight on purpose to fool your opponent into not retreating In: COH2 Balance
