Lol no it isn't
T4 should include some kind of bonus for grenadiers and maybe other infantry/team weapons. Maybe move the reinforcement cost reduction that they added in the preview to t4, and make medkits free when the structure is built
Adding more small bonuses to other units is the best route to take imo. Every other final tier in the game provides you with something besides the units it unlocks, except Ost's:
USF: Major
Brits: Hammer/Anvil bonuses
OKW: Flak base
Soviets: 7 man upgrade
Ost: ______
I do agree with more acc. for panther, but it should be a vet 2 bonus
Ostruppen get lmgs at t4 actually.
The Brit trade off is they have to pick themselves out of their own units. Soviets have very limited med armor.
Ostheer already have rocket arty, the best med tank and panther+brum at the same time. when Brits can only pick between church and comet.
One would have to be very careful with buffs, something like medkits would be fine but five man and lmg could collapse balance. |
More than happy to replay:
Panther:
Vet 0 Speed: 6.6 Accel: 2.4 Rotate: 30
Vet 3 Speed: 6.6 Accel: 2.6 Rotate: 36
Su-85
Vet 0 Speed: 5.7 Accel: 2.1 Rotate: 22
Vet 3 Speed: 6.8 Accel: 2.5 Rotate: 26.4

A bit out of date but 90% accurate.
My dear SuperHansFan:
1) I was not talking about stats, I was simply correcting a inaccurate claim
2) You have demonstrate hostility towards me in many post borderlining insult in some cases so if you are going ask something from me, I would appreciated if it was done in a polite manner.
3) Finding the specific stat for yourself is actually less work than to actually post the question to me
4) The number of post in this forum would probably be cut in half if people bother to do some fact checking before posting thing that are inaccurate
Please there is no hostility, if what I have said is "hostile" attacking others then I'm not sure what your signature is.
But let's not drag the thread off topic, the panther is the more mobile vehicle. SU85 could use an acceleration increase to be on par with axis TDs considering its lack of turret.
The panther weighed as much as an IS-2 in reality, so it's a bit odd to see them speeding around like spring chickens while allied TDs bar maybe the Jackson are slow as mollasis. FF could use a small acceleration buff too. |
Why don't you check the stat yourself or at least ask in a polite manner.
I have simply correct a claim made by Aerohank and he took no offense by it.
I simply asked a question, I'm sure aerohank and others would be interested to see other stats too, as you already chimed in and posted speed.
That's why I asked you. Because you were already talking about stats. As everybody knows the mobility of a unit is not just top speed. |
Not really
Mobility Panther vet 3
Speed: 6.6
Mobility SU-85 vet 3
Speed: 6.8
Actually Su-85 is faster...
And what about acceleration and blitz

Due to sparse time, I could not follow the complete discussion, but I'd like to chime in with an idea that at least recently has not been made:
Why not just nerf the Jacksons mobility? I actually don't see much reason why the Jackson has to be as mobile as it is. High pen, yes, very good reasons for that. High ROF, also reasonable. But high mobility? USF ATG is as mobile as every other ATG in the game, then they have highly mobile Bazooka squads. The only reason why the Jackson "should" be able to scoot around the battlefield like it does today is to fit everything to the mobile design of USF.
Now I don't want to make it as slow as a Churchill or something, but what about SU85/Firefly level (from 6,5 to approx 5,5) and also a bit slower rotation?
It would bring it quite close to the Firefly then design wise, but that would make the Jackson more susceptible to dives and flanks while keeping the very much needed offensive capabilities. At the moment it can drive away from a P4 (P4 speed is 6,3 for OST and 6,0 for OKW version), at least that should not be possible.
+10000 this
If the issue with Jackson is how it's supposedly OP vs mediums then nerf turret rotation and speed so it can't shoot and scoot constantly vs P4s and they can have a better chance to close in or flank. Much like they already can vs current FF that struggles in such situations.
Nerfing pen and RoF just results in USF being bullied by heavies again, for all the crying for pen nerfs I don't see the logic. When Jackson couldn't reliably pen they were just getting rolled into a corner and blown up as soon as tiger or KT showed up.
For like almost a year the only answer USF had to heavies was skill plane P47s or getting lucky with massed old easy eights. Now both those old options are nerfed from their former glory.

If you want a better KT pick elite armor
KT with commander and HEAT is arguably the best heavy once the patch releases |
It's an ok team game Commander, not all doctrines are suited for 1vs1.
Recovery sappers are good when you are floating muni for piats in 4vs4 and dealing with the teller spam, the command post while vulnerable can be good if you hide it behind a treeline or building somewhere. Command vehicle while it makes your tank useless and is bugged on the AEC, gives some extra punch to tanks to deal with enemy heavies. (Treat your command vehicle like you did with old vcoh command crom to buff reload, protect and baby it with micro and it will pay off).
The mortar call in should be 0 command points. Brits need building clearance sooner than later.
Crocodile is a crocodile, it's not as good as other heavies at the same timing but it can still punish AT guns. |
Comets criss-crossing the map at F1 speeds, eating everything on their way? Emplacements bringing back CoH:ToV British Sim City PTSD? Volk Schreck blobs descending on everything like a locust swarm, in the spirit of vCoH Recoilless Para blobs? 2+ ISU 152s from a single player in a match evaporating everything on two legs? Planes incinerating entire armies on crashing? Uncounterable Soviet snipers in clown cars?
We are in a heaven of balance compared to where we used to be.
Most certainly, but what makes me laugh the most is when some claim the game was balanced before WFA and Brits were added.
Back when it was just Sov and Ost you had some of the most broken patches, and even in the playable patches you had stuff like demos on every cap and door mines that install wipe any squad jumping out. Or Wehr turbo mortar or 120mm consistently wiping units across the map.
Plenty of top 1vs1 games were decided back then on simply how many demo, mortar or mine wipes each player could clock up.
The game was way more frustrating back then, it was even frustrating to watch. |
The OP is so hilarious, reading it I was transported back five years in time when these kind of blanket statement hyperbolic posts were made in all seriousness.
Tommies not having early-game smoke access and being horrible on the move gets transformed into "u guys excuuz iz juz dat Brits dont get picked", Ostheer shopping list demands straight from fanboy wet dreams, and the game being in best shape balance-wise since its release is "totally unbalanced" apparently.
Oh my, thanks for the laugh.
Some people forget how laughably broken the game was in the past. Like the old TA that could two shot SU85s from range and wipe squads almost instantly. Two minutes vet 3 gren that could upgrade g43 and mg42. Soviet mines that would one shot any four man unit that ran into them. These were all things worth starting a five page discussion over.
We've gone a long way from units like the TA which could only be stopped by a horde of ramming T34s. Now there's so much less to complain about people are even moaning about gammon bombs and smoke abilities.
Yes there are some UP units that could still use small buffs, but the outrage is honestly laughable I agree. |
I too like the idea of a unique long range rifle commando to be slotted somewhere in a doctrine.
Commandos were actually trained to hipfire brens historically. It would also add some flavour rather than every doctrine having the same sten commandos |
