Suppression is almost exclusively determined purely by rate of fire and suppression per bullet of the weapon. The RA of the squad it's firing at doesn't really matter (if at all, I'm not sure).

However you have to realize one thing: 2*10.6*0.72 > 16.5*0.9025 as such, commandos models gets ganged up on pretty fast and loose model. So they eventually loose.

Automatic weapons don't work like that. They spread out their damage and don't focus down models one by one.


Commandos win 19/20 times against 6 men Assault Grenadiers.
With overwhelming results in most engagements too.

It's actually around 10.6 dps per model(post patch) for ass grens making 6-man: 63.6
Commandos are 16.5 dps per model so total would be 82.5

The difference for the reload changes is so small I didn't bother to look it up. Assgren DPS could very well be this but the difference is so small it doesn't matter in the comparison. I did indeed forget to mention that I used the old DPs, though.

On Commandos DPS I trust that Cruzz' stats are correct. If they aren't then good catch, but it only puts the comparison even more into Commandos' favor.

The KV2 has 180 rear armour too, not sure why you wrote 120. Was it nerfed recently?

You also forgot the KV1 at 165 which is also pretty high and KV8 at 145.

The KV-2's rear armor was changed to 120 in the Commanders Revamp Patch when the unit received a small overhaul.

I didn't mention the KV-1 and the KV-8 because they have vastly different roles. The KV-1 is literally nothing more than a damage sponge, it's supposed to be well protected. The KV-8 can't damage other tanks. I don't think they are very comparable to the mainline heavies that need to have lower rear armor as a weakness because their firepower is easily able to deal with other tanks in a common engagement. And all mainline heavies have comparable rear armor versing mediums with comparable penetration.

Oh please. The tournament proved absolutely nothing because of its incredibly low sample size. Furthermore it's no secret Ostheer T4 isn't very viable in high level 1v1s, but that also has to do a lot with an awkward transition, research times, high tech costs, and the Panther and Panzerwerfer not being too effective for that type of gamemode too, more so than just the Brummbar's performance.

The Brummbar is a good unit in teamgames, quite excellent in the hands of a good player, because fights are concentrated so its lower mobility and casemate nature aren't as much of an issue. In 1v1s with infantry usually spread out all over the map, a cheaper faster medium that basically does the same job (force off infantry) is obviously preferable. The Brummbar is mostly a breakthrough unit, for which there is hardly any use in high level 1v1s where fights are dynamic and spread out rather than static and concentrated.


Ostheer T4 is in quite a difficult position though. It's meta in (higher level) teamgames and all of its unit are very good in those modes. It's lacking in 1v1 though. But any straight up buffs to T4 itself or T4 units would risk throwing the current teamgames balance (which imo is pretty good, except a few hiccups) off. We are looking at some changes, but they have to be very well thought out.

The lefh howi doesnt shoot when u drop the coordiniate fire barrage thing from the arty officer. It works fine with the panzerwerfer though. i think it might have something todo with the latest change to howi cooldowns

I've tried replicating this in some simple tests, but in these the LeFH would always respond to the Victor Target ability. We're going to need replays or a more detailed description of the situation to figure out what's causing this unwanted behaviour.
