PLAYER COUNTS 4v4 Using COH2 SPECTATE I can see 7 pages of 4v4 matches. Each page holds approximately 19 matches. Current 4v4 players ≈ 1064 Current players: 7818 Ratio: 1064/7818 ≈ 13.6% So worst case players in queue could be (can check later): Lowest player count time players ≈ 3000 3000 * .136 ≈ 408 players 408 / 8ppm = 51 matches Just a data point. Nothing significant in this data yet. PLAYER COUNTS 1v1 Current 1v1 players ≈ 190 Current players: 7818 Ratio: 190/7818 ≈ 2.4% AVERAGE GAME TIMES From PagePs site, we see most game modes have similar average game times at around 25 minutes. If you see a player, you can click them and setup optionally (based on stored Relic Player ID): 1) An ALIAS name so players show up even when changing their steam name. Anti-Smurf. EX: Aerafield's steam name is NotRosbone, he still prints as Aerafield in OBS. 2) Plays a user supplied sound when match is found that includes an ALIAS person. EX: Aerafield appears in my match I can play a WAV file that says "And there goes my ELO". EX: Duffman gets any brit players and a WAV file plays "Look at this donkey". 3) Play a user supplied GIF or movie so viewers get entertainment value. EX: Get a match with Aerafield and a GIF plays center OBS screen of gachiBASS. You would need a setup dialog that should include a VOLUME setting for sound files, etc. You may also want some way to sort them in a hierachic manner. So you only play one sound/gif. You saw all the graphics I posted earlier in this topic from PagePs site about soviets being the worst faction in 4v4 looking at only rank 200 games and above. I can assure it is much worse at lower ranks. WHAT I WOULD DO WITH THE CODE: - Give premades a rank. Do not force them to smash 10 noob teams first. - Do not make games where players are all ranked much higher than their enemy. - Do not stick people on the same map they just lost on. - Do not put people in the same spawns they just played on. - Do not make matches with the weakest factions only. - Do not stick the worst player in a match with other members in the next match. Now I see it is open game As I have stated several times so far in this topic: - ELO Hell exists for some. - Currently Soviets are under performing in 4v4. - The lower in rank you go the more Soviets team mates you get and continue to drop elo. - Relics match making is the easiest thing to fix for this problem.
