Thread: SU-7617 Apr 2018, 00:42 AM Reducing its pen slightly wouldnt be an issue if it retains its barrage, it would still have a use after its primary role has become less efficient (panthers and tigers and the like hit the field) as long as it doesnt drop to its old blasted 140 point blank and 120 at far itll be fine. I think ~150/160 at max would be good. It would still pen most non heavies reasonably frequently, the p4 could bounce on occasion but far from reliably. The barrage gets ~60mu barrage that is reduced at vet 1... Could work fine. In: COH2 Balance

Over reliance on the 76 (and stug for that matter) should be punished by the enemy fielding heavy armour. Thats the whole point of it... They could increase the spread of armour values much in the way they should increase the spread of target sizes to enable better fine tuning but thats never going to happen In: COH2 Balance

Soviets had doctrinal solution to Stock issues and they worked fine until OKW showed up. Gotta disagree. Old soviet design was a dumpster fire. Not having infantry with sights on their rifles unless you picked a doctrine was dreadful. The ability to fight the enemies stock lineup should be limited to the doctrine you picj because then the doctrine is required. I played a game last night using NKVD tactics. That would be IMPOSSIBLE in the old soviet design because it had no infantry to fight and no tanks to pen the enemy. Awful design. I said it before and ill say it again: optimal balance will be when all factions cam fight eachothers stock lineup using only their own stock lineup. Balancing the commanders after that would be a million times easier because they wont have to be OP to fill holes (soviet call ins for example) In: COH2 Balance

Just like the sherman has bonus accuracy on the move or the old obers had a modifier vs retreating squads. Unique characteristic applied only to the weapons in this upgrade. Thank you for the informantion tho. Maybe reduce the modifier to 0.7 if all 4 models got the IR stg? I was thinking (dont know if it would be even possible) to change up the IR stg and flare to something a little more balanced (team games) what about making it an IR flare (same effect as IR halftrack, info but not LOS) make it cheaper and buff IR STGs but not OP global counterable recon ripe for offmaps In: COH2 Balance

As for blitz and war speed... Idk why they dont simply have the engine overheat thing that the naughty naughty t34 gets. I mean how is rifles sprinting OP and in need of a debuff but 320 armour and 800 health is all laudy da (well, not really seeing as its been nerfed to dick over the years because a speed boost on a hightly armoured already fast unit is bad design....
