The airborne commander has been in meta multiple times thanks to its ability to supplement usf tech tree. Yet, pathfinders seem to be used only in troll strategies. Iirc pathfinders crit at 40% health or something like that meaning the opportunity to sniper models is less and USF is a faction that any problems you have arw better solved by throwing another rifle squad on the blob over diversifying your units. Why add a unit that can model snipe and little else when you can have a squad you can attack move with the rest and snare and throw grenades and and and and.... You will find any unit that uses a different tactic than brute force will fall by the way side for usf. In: COH2 Balance

In my opinion this makes it just even more stronger (too strong if you ask me) Ir it could miss quite literally everything for every single shot for half the price of a t34. Its a garbage RNG cannon for both sides. No body can count on it to hit nor miss. Moving doesnt counter it like it did with precision shot because it might scatter half the map away, its a troll weapon the is now killing another doctrine In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Spring Update - Balance thread29 Apr 2018, 17:57 PM Also despite requiring vet and a boat load of munitions (90 if i recall) AND has a tiny arc AND a long aim time IF the stars align and even a huge target like an elefant sits in said tiny arc for the age and a half it takes to aim after you used RNG to attain vet1 AND dumped 90mu on the ability...it can STILL miss. Oh and of course because of the slow traverse on the unit you would need to KNOW an enemy tank is coming that way anyways to even take the gamble of 90mu and half the game aiming for thw chance to miss. It needs to be a skill shot not a target ability so players can at least lead targets or at least not miss all the god damned always In: COH2 Balance

In theory they have crit chance, more sniper rifles and lower chance of getting wiped. In practice, their performance if very RNG dependent and they don't let you win your engagement any better than another supporting infantry squad would. This is because they can't decrease enemy dps in whole engagement by sniping one model when it begins like EFA snipers were designed to. There is much easier way to remove the "one man army" snipers from the game while keeping their support role. All one needs to do is making them slightly slower than other infantry, so they can't soft retreat when unsupported. Doctrinal/nondocrinal. You will always see units that players have natural access to mire than those that require a dedication I like the idea of crit sniping. It suits the game more however i think they should have a "sniper target" ability that kills the model and supresses the squad (kinda like the ost snipers vet ability now that i think about it) perhaps a short stun woukd be better than supression tho due to the way supression works In: COH2 Balance

But sometimes, if lucky you can also hunt. A poor player will go tank first when assaulting , he should go infantry first, always. If he doesn't the tanks are going to run into the AT guns. The problem is that it CAN hunt i believe. Granted i mostly play 4s with friends at this point but using a rak for scouting and infiltration to knock out things like ambos and katys is 100% doable. I would much sooner give it say +40 damage out of camo than let it hunt. In: COH2 Balance
