That says all you need to know why the pershing is very good. Wiping squads means the opponent loses veteran squads. The pershing wipes squads without requiring much micro at all. Would you like to see a nerf to persh like what the KT received? I don't think so. Ehh theres more to being a good tank than wiping squads (look at the oooold IS-2 that could lose in a sluging match with a p4 but would erase any infantry it looked at) however the pershing really is the whole package. Its got tiger armour, fantastic support, is fast, great vet and is included with one of the STRONGEST abilities in the game- combined arms. Increased LOS(35%) ROF (-30%) and range (+5) for the tanks and -20% reload, +30% accuracy and +35% LOS for infantry A vet 3 conbined arms pershing can fire shells guaranteed to pen uparmoured p4s every ~2 seconds giving it the ability to kill one quicker than a pak43 (whom can 2 shot mediums) it doesnt have the health of other heavies but is far and above them in killing power In: COH2 Balance

While at it, the Tiger could also use an armor buff to about 350, now that the Panther armor vet was nerfed. The trouble with both Tigers is that they are too easy to damage (especially Tiger I) and they cannot have much presence in the field if everything not just specialized counters but even mediums can pen it relatively easily. T34 pen at far 80 KT armour 375 Percent chance of pen 21.3 TIL 21%= easily. Therefore all axis armour bar 2cms can fight tanks relatively easily as 375 is also the value of the most armoured allied tank.. Jokes aside, i agree an armour buff would be nice for the tiger II. Its rear armour was merfed so mediums are actually a threat now so it doesnt need to be reliably countered from the front by TDs. 400 is plenty reasonable. Tiger 1 id rather get a range increase to 50 (55 with vet) than an armour increase, maybe a damage bump to 200 (is-2 as well for the damage bump) just to make it that little bit MORE. What a condescending toxic and biased post for someone too afraid to post a playercard Also i'm enjoing how 240 mp mortar is mostly relegated to smoke dispenser despite being good at proper range for barrage and snowflakes will cry and beg all day but ultra expensive leig is just a smoke dispenser at any range and that is legit and balanced and players should work around it. General balance in a nutshell and really speaks volumes about "combined arms" allies snowflakes. Okw units has a number of squads they can field and each and EVERY one of them is a threat, not just volks. Getting any one of them even close to an enemy mortar is enough to force it off. Hell, even a kuble dive put enough threat to make it move. And gosh darn those squirrelly allied players...using cover... You know what cover does right? Ontop of the obvious defensive bonuses (and small offensive bonises for brits) it also makes them static. You know what units LOOOOVE static troops? Indirect fire, things like mortars....and the leig. Its not a 120mm, but it will contribute. And seeing as you listed the allied units as having upgrades i can assume your volks have STGs? And maybe the munitions for a cover denying lava nade? No? And i dont have my playercard cause i dont care about it. Generally players who request them know they are wrong and are looking for a reason to simply disqualify other players opinions (kinda like you are trying to do) instead of the merits of their words and i wont be a part of that. Were here for discussion, all of us and a players ability to micro doesnt take away from their knowledge of the game, nor DOES thier ability to micro or even affinity to RNG provide them a trump card when they clearly dont understand tactics or the tools of the game. I know what i know and admit when im wrong or dont know something and im sure their are players who will attest to that. My condecention comes from knowing what im talking about to a player who is seemingly pretending they do and discounting tactical options and using that as a reasoning for balance changes. Now back to the discussion Nobody said the 240mp mortar is relegated to just smoke, but it has the option for it and good players will apply that to neutralize an enemy advantage or press their own. Is the LEIG underperforming? A bit. It has been most of its life (save for the dark days of auto fire supression...) Could it use a small buff? Probably. Make a thread about that. However its ability to smoke and punish units in cover remains and needs to be accounted for. Ill admit i have no clue what you mean with your last blurb, if you sre calling me an allied snowflake you are sorely mistaken, i have an affinity to EFA, but generally prefer the ost (more diverse and engaging commander options) not that it matters In: COH2 Balance

I'd prefer same cost, with a weaker vet 0 rof and better vet 3 performance rather than it being cheaper. Nerfed ROF will still have the same effect as currently tho. You can have ot shoot 1 round a minute and a pair will force a retreat every minute vs ost. Despite the lower offensive capability the soviet sniper is the best sniper because snipers main weakness isnt quite as gaping. We need to make using a pair less attractive and the only way to do that is to increase the cost. But losing 360mp to a stray mortar is alread frustrating enough so that too would need addressed. The sniper team is superiour because its so hard to definitively remove. We need to embrace its roll as something more than other snipers and treat it as such In: COH2 Balance

Nobody is forcing you to spend 120mu to "invalidate a squad you bought" its called a CHOICE. Do you want 240 damage worth of hip fire laser guided AT guaranteed to pen each and every single allied stock medium or do you want an AI squad? Nobody is puting a gun to your head. Save the munitions and instead lay 2. Anti tank mines that will OHK the enemy light tanks and have 40% saved towards the next one. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: What to do with the KT?28 Mar 2018, 21:42 PM i disagree that allied TDs still need to be so potent to EASILY take a KT from the front as heavy tanks had their rear armour nerfed to allow mediums to be an actual option against them. a heavy tank should force a combine approach. the su85 in particular i feel is over buffed, as since then exists AT penals with the AT hand nuke as well as actually viable t34s the jackson too has all the tools to survive being squishy, without the squishy making it a brawler that can also flank and can also out range that can also up the anty with vet shells the FF imo is good as it provides reliability and thus is a threat, but also has enough drawbacks to warrant it In: COH2 Balance

It's a given fact that okw indirect is the weakest of all factions While the leig does lack the impact of other mortars it does now have smoke. I know OKW strat since the dawn of time has been "throw volks at it, if you fail you need more volks" (usf and their rifles too, but they at least had smoke on them to pretend they couldnt just face down everything outright) smokeing mgs and making use of them STGs is an option, the flak is really bloody good now, not for diving but anything short of an AT gun will run or die trying. if you happened to go mech you can use a walking stuka to ensure they never build another mg, mortar or AT gun again. Nerfed for sure but the luchs is still an option as well. There are options. But im starting to think the enemy does a better job defending their mortars than you do defending your schwere....
