In current meta there is no much room for pgrens this days and that's a shame And offers are underwhelming because volks get obers. Don't get me wrong overs are nice but they come out a bit late when allied squads can have double armed vetted units on the fieldq. You are usually better off getting the incredibly cost effecient volks. In: COH2 Balance

They basically have the cost and upkeep of an elite infantry but the performance of a line infantry. Which if I recall is a result of their abuse previously. Pgrens were always formidable before WFAs omnipotent and supremely durable squads were introduced and their elites had to be better yet to a viable choice over their line infantry. Rangers are so good because rifles are phenomenal. How do you make a more attractive squad than good at all ranges, durable, flexible squads with 2 weapon slots and a grenade? You HAVE to do the same but better. There's minimal room for diversity by design and by design any usf callin squad has to be underwhelming and niche (assault engies) or incredible and arguably OP. Want rangers and arty? Get fucked. Want pgrens and arty? Well do you want arty and smoke? Arty and sprint? Arty and stuka nuke? You get the idea. Pgrens aren't propping up a doctrine or a centerpiece that the viability of a commander rests upon. In: COH2 Balance

And I hope you think too, that moving a blob is a no brainer and should be punished. Mgs should always have to be flanked by infantry. Game is designed to outplay enemy, therefore cant't see a useful comment in your reply. And an MG will control like.. 2x it's manpower at least. More if supported but penal are 300mp and a blob of them is at least 900mp don't expect a 260mp MG to hold the line alone. If you can spot for it things will go well but not alone it won't. I mean that would be 100% no different than now aside from making the animation easier to see. It still won't help an MG gtfo or someone micro ING the other side of the map.
