Pios are actually a threat in the early stages of the game capable of threatening weapon crews. They arnt panzergrens but they arnt to be ignored either.
Again, the mg42 is fine. It does its job perfectly. It's the other mgs that are lacking.
The vickers seems to kill a model too fast resulting in having to reaim and loses Supression, this is bad because of the flame nade that will force retreat 100% of the time, 110% if they have stgs, similariliy the maxim is ineffective unless you have a pair, which is bad balance and same as the Vicky it can't suppress enough to stop the flame nade, followed by death loop.... M2 feels inconsistent, idky though sometimes it suppresses wicked fast, other times it doesn't. |
I like it. Raid is cheap for what it is really. Increased Los on all infantry is pretty dope for only 40mu.if anything capping with lights is a bonus.
Wouldnt mind seeing some munitions costs drop on things like the I&R arty just so the strain isn't so high but all in all I think it's a fun commander. Going all 3 officers gives you everything you NEED and lots of field presence, as said paras can get zooks and lay mines, pak howo now offers indirect fire. It's a very aggressive commander. |
The brumbar is trash now? I guess someone should tell the game... |
Not too breathe my own fart in too deep, but why does everyone want to reinvent the wheel when RTS games have had a "unit that sucks gets global upgrade later" mechanic since forever?
We also have it in game with our own units in the way battle phases and brit teching works.
Because cons have had global upgrades since launch and have sucked the entirety of it. Only what last year they even got atheir price looked at. The patch cycle isn't reliable enough to test out something that will 100% be left broke for months then maybe half fixed (JLI for example) if cons require constant investment throughout the game they would need to be cheaper than ostroppen to start. It's already hard to justify 205mp and 35 fuel into the average priced but subpar performing squad without adding more investment to make them slightly less shitty. At what point would be the proper investment to have cons start to function to their purchase price? Do we need another 200mp and 30 fuel? More?
Globals only work if it's something you intend to have a lot of. For cons the plan is to have as few as possible because you are trying to win. |
They may perform similiar in Cover. Did you see osttruppens perfomance without cover, for example on the offensive? People seem to forget every drawback
That keeps them balanced in the early game and certainly doesn't hurt them late game after mortars have been falling for the last 20 minutes since craters count as cover. Regardless you buy ostroppen because you can count on them (no really, you can!) the inverse is why nobody builds cons |
Yeah but now LT has a zook upgrade and actually benefits from vet bonuses and isn't super squishy and like 30 to reinforce or whatever. I'd much rather use that and have skirts stock on the m20. It makes a lot more sense IMO.
Not if you hop it out. The vehicle crews also have super high vet requirements IIRC so M20 might even vet faster than the crew.
Now you have 2 zooks. Instead of just pushing off the 222 yuu might even kill it and now you can even threaten a luchs. |
The m20 zook isn't dedicated AT. It's a stop gap so that you arnt completely without when the 222 hits or if the enemy builds a bunker, or a cache. It's not meant to be your main source of AT.
And the crew gains vet through the m20 so it does get vetted without leaning on the zook. |
YhEA BoI, COmPENsaTE...
First volks, now grens... this kind of discussions with no sense or whatsoever are very repetitive and are not even funny anymore.
Haters gonna hate.
No one really speaks for cons here...
/Thread
Grens yes... And volks..... And rifles.... And Tommies... And sappers..... And RE.... all have the ability to greatly improve their firepower, and no, sprinting isn't enough to compensate for that, especially not at 20mu a pop. If oorah gave a RoF bonus or something (which would be cool) it could be enough but sprint alone is not. In the early game before weapon upgrades it does help level the field but falls off the instant the enemy starts arming themselves while continuing to be a strain on your munitions economy. This follows suit with what I was saying early about conscripts not scaling properly and paying more for less. Oorah could scale with vet, that would help. But it doesn't.i don't want cons to get a weapon upgrade but they need something because they are hot garbage at the moment |
Tbh I think the mg42 is fine and all the other mgs suck ass. The mg42 does its job. The maxim and vickers and sometimes even the 50 do not. What the bloody fuck is the point in building an MG that the enemy can walk right up to, under fire and throw a flame nade at? What good are 6 men when if can't suppress and deathloops? Machine guns are supposed to stop massed infantry and the mg42 is the only one that does that. The MG34 is at least cheap, so its slightly underwhelming performance makes sense but the allied ones all cost more in either tech or unit cost (or both) and can't even do their damn job.
Mg42 is fine, it's all the others that isn't. |
Oorah is phenomenal! Idk why anybody would want to spend 60mu for a 1 time upgrade that improves damage output and concentrates damage on a single model at a time when they could run a bit quicker for 20mu a pop and proceed to deal the same damage as always but maybe from cover. Some people think that's not enough to compensate paying the same as the enemy for less but those people are crazy! |
