When the partisans met with the regular troops, they were usually poured into the regular rifle units. My idea is that the partisans get the Conscripts skin, change the veterancy ability, maybe even a 5-man squad, but for example with two DP-27 or MG-42/34. I wouldn't change the skin, but you could slap merge into them perhaps... That may be interesting.... Side note, what about some field reinforcement JUST for partisans? Something akin to pathfinder beacon that only reinforces airborne for the spartisans? Could give them cheaper reinforcement if the beacon is in enemy territory to reinforce that they are resisting enemy occupation and their role therein That would allow them to stay behind enemy lines a bugger shit up. Also in campaign they could create blinds that let em set up ambushes... That would be a huge bonus to them as well... In: COH2 Balance

Bren already has a cemented position, so changing Vickers K is much better, as most dont use it. This is because contrary to the recent design changes, brits sre not supposed to be 360 no scoping through the field as a battle blob. They had debuffs outside of cover specifically to stop that. However now that the attempt to stop power blobs has been abandoned I don't see why not give them concentrated firepower on the move and just admit that tactics are not supposed to be a part of the game when mass firepower can do as well or better with a lot less effort and input. I wonder if it would be possible to create a salvage system for munitions that functions a bit like interrogation tactics on dead infantry to help feed the machine More mines would also be a fun route. They arnt supposed to fight outright but instead be a real pain in the ass. Another idea would be to add a damage reduction or target size reduction to their camo bonus to when they to get the junp on an enemy they don't just melt away In: COH2 Balance

Obviously it would be unreasonable for a weapon who's only job is to increase damage to outperform an ability that also increases squad size and scouting capability. Also cause like... Rifles are SPECIFICALLY designed to carry their faction on account of no feasible alternatives nor stock elite infantry to supliment them.. Fussies can do more out of the gate and can do more ability with vet and can do more with their package. Utility vs combat power. Utility plays into the cost of things both units and upgrades. We really REALLY need to stop comparing fussies to units that are designed to do fighting and fighting alone. Imagine and RPG character creator. Then imagine the odacity of bitching that a character specd in every category that can do almost amything isn't outfighting a dedicated fighter designed solely to fight.... In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Commander Update Beta 2021 - British Feedback21 Apr 2021, 22:33 PM Extra models are extremely strong because it effects received damage distribution (more models more targets, less chance of models being burst down) and damage fall off from the squad as those models DO drop. 10% rec acc bonus in cover is great but it won't offset the extra that a model brings to the table that is incalculable In: COH2 Balance

They are absolutely inferior to obers, at both maximum and minimum veterancy levels, which is quite odd considering the fact that both their costs and battlefield roles are comparable. It would also be neat to add the PPSH paras the ability to cease fire, just like for every other ambush style troops. Guards can outlast most other infantry and can be merged into so them being "less" outright than obers is fine. Obers are supposed to be the elite infantry counter infantry. Their only job is to slap infantry and its all they can do. In: COH2 Balance

Mid game they level out and late game fussies are superior. so isn't that against your point ? Did... You not read where I said that all penals do is fight but fussies can do more than that? Or how fussies are great for map control? Or how they have a grenade that can tip engagements that are not unrealistic set and forget battles at max range? That they have sprint so they can get preffered positioning? If we ignore all the strengths of fussies and pit them against a unit who's only job is to kill shit yes they lose. Perhaps you can run some tests about how quickly each squad can cap the whole map? Or how well they can recon enemy positions? Or how much the get bullied by LVs? No you won't, because you are intentionally creating biased tests to suit your needs and ignoring the other traits that go into making and pricing a squad. In: COH2 Balance

No I mean extra LOS. iirc in an attempt to make swapping from an STG to a G43 attractive pgrens got a LOS bonus with the upgrade. Grens do not get it and I don't recall if stormtroopers do or not. Thread: Commander Update Beta 2021 - Ostheer Feedback21 Apr 2021, 03:35 AM Jump back to quoted post21 Apr 2021, 03:27 AMMMX interesting analysis. i've always felt that the G43 upgrade turns my PGrens into terminators, but maybe that was just due to the flashy firing sound of the rifles. if the only gain is merely a bit more DPS at range 30+ and the occasional chance for interrogation, i feel the mun cost together with the drastic DPS loss on mid to low range make PGren G43s a really awful upgrade. I used to upgrade exclusively shreked pgrens with the g43s for the extra vision and the knowledge that they shouldn't be anywhere near an infantry fight anyways and maybe the awesome g43 sound will scare off a squad or 2 as they fire from range. Can't tell you if it's smart but it's what I doo In: COH2 Balance
