In live there are counters to emplacements but they not specialized counters, the point is that emplacement should be tough to kill with normal units but easy with specialized units. One's opponent has invested in emplacements then one can invest is specialized units. In: Lobby

Thread: Redesigning Emplacement12 Sep 2019, 15:33 PM In the latest patch the has been some changes to emplacement which have been proven very difficult to balance and have been from of to useless. Imo in order to better balance emplacement they need a redesign. 1) They need effective counters. Unit designed to do extra damage to them even when braced. Units like the Brumbar, Sturm Tiger (already has some extra damage) added tools could become available like more satchel charges or demolition charges mostly to infiltration/paradropped units. 2) Add tech cost/upgrade to the them so that a player can decide how much his wants to invest in them. Think that could come with cost could be: Second mortar Brace extra damage or range One could also experiment with crew that are need to operate these weapon making simple garrison if the crew is not present. Pls do not make this personal and if you read my previous post you will say that just said that I just rammed 2 elephant thus I play Soviets, actually since the patch I have more games as Soviets. The units are balanced on how easily they are countered thus as long as ram is an easy counter to these vehicles the unit will hard to balance, thus the relevance. In: COH2 Balance

By now I am pretty confident that falls are a tad too strong, they win every 1:1 engagement with ease unless you have the strongest long range specialists like LMG paratroopers.... unless the falls utilize their camo again, then paras cant beat them either. I would either slightly nerf their long range dps again or remove the panzerfaust for good. Great. Imo you if you did not want to cry op you could give feedback that they seem a bit strong. Imo Fall are bit too strong also and they seem to over lap with Obers. Imo they should revert to original to be a infiltration unit since currently OKW do not have such a unit maybe add some scouting after initial deployment. Paratroopers Fall could be added to Ostheer luft on a later time. In: COH2 Balance

So Falls are supposed to be this fragile ambush unit that has a grenade, camo, first strike bonus and can upgrade to lmgs. Why then are they able to fire their lmg on the move, which turns them from a great ambush unit into a broken A-move unit? Elite infatry can fire on the move their LMGs and Fg42 is not an lmg.
