Thread: How to counter Ostheer mg spam as Usf28 Oct 2019, 23:33 PM Vehicles like the WC51 and M20 can help vs HMG spam especially since they have long range and vision Smoke grenades from RE and Officer can help vs HMG spam. USF mortar can counter HMG spam. Has good synergy with Pathfinder and IR pathfinder that can provide vision for it and take out entities with low health. In: COH2 Gameplay
Thread: HMG Explosive Vulnerability28 Oct 2019, 17:03 PM There are plenty of solution for that: Lower the times before giving the order and delivering smoke Lower the penalties vs cover/garrison since mortars should be a counter to static play Improve barrage performance vs cover and garrison with lower penalties Damage could be reduce to 60 improve the AOE profile and add extra damage vs team weapons A similar path can be taken with the sniper with lower damage infatry and critical kills vs team weapons. It would give T1 an AT option that's somewhere inbetween the Raketen and Puma in terms of flexibility. This would be better than the double Schreck for Sturms idea, because they would not conflict with the role of Schreck Pfusi's, being only good against lights, which is the main weakness of T1 builds. AT rifles seem a bit out of place since they where not used for AT at the end of the war. What one could try would be an squad that could fire fausts as an AT weapon with no snare. They could be lower damage high accuracy weapons better suited vs lights. In: COH2 Balance

There is a number of options like: Obers so all truck have 3 units in them JP IV requiring a second truck JLI so that OKW have a stock recon infatry The 6 men engineer squad from TOW so that some burden is taken away from SP A medical sqaud VG with 1 rifle grenade weapon 250 MHT OPEL 221 so with 0 fuel cost so that OKW can counter cars, and the 223 can be doctrinal and have time and cost adjusted. IMO, it brings more confusion to the discussion than rather listing scatter, AoE and RoF in separate ways. Well Sanders uses it... And as I said anyone who prefers to other stat for comparison reason should feel free to do so. He should not feel in anyway disappointed if he gets attacked and accused of bias for doing so by specific members, it seem to be a tradition for them to do so. In: COH2 Balance

Average damage done based on total AoE? I never used it cause no one knows exactly what it is. Unfortunately no, I have not seen any explanation from Cruzz and it rather hard to guess. Given thou that the number increases with lower scatter values it seem that takes that into account also... Maybe average damage divided by average scatter area? Imo would have to find the ratio of scatter area and AOE if one wanted to express accuracy for indirect fire weapons, so maybe that is waht Cruzz has done. In: COH2 Balance

Introducing something similar again could lead to the same problem. The only thing I'd change in terms of AT is the vet 1 ability, which does a negligible 40 damage currently (-50% damage). Make it 80 damage and they might actually contribute something when fighting against lights. Still, it's not a priority because AT is not their role anyway. That was a problem because it was a dual purpose munition. The suggestions here is for a AT only munition with range 40 or bellow lower ROF and relatively low DPS allowing the unit to fire back at vehicles since the current projectile is not rather useless. Even the scott can hit and damage vehicles. The alternative is to increase the speed of projectile/lower trajectory so it can actually track vehicles. Vet 1 ability is pointless, overlaps and should be replaced. Actually the direct fire could be the vet 1 ability, or the MG upgrade or some other type of munition or some sight bonuses or a barrage or an ability similar to kv-2 locking the unit in place but offering some bonuses.
