Thread: The Excessive Amount Of Micro Required For Brummbar4 Dec 2020, 11:22 AM Jump back to quoted post4 Dec 2020, 11:01 AMMMX things are actually a lot more complex in coh2. the angle and velocity of artillery-like projectiles are not rigidly set but have a bit of wiggle room. obviously, there are multiple velocity-angle combinations that result in the same travel distance but different time of arrival for the projectile. exactly how the game chooses an individual firing solution is still a mystery to me (i've tried to figure this out some time ago to no avail), but i'm sure even small changes (distance, elevation) can have quite drastic effects Brummbar projectile has a speed 29 (there is "speed distance multiplier" and "acceleration"),but I do not see how that can change with angle. The angle can have an effect on the behavior and flight time but I do see how it would have an effect on muzzle velocity or actual velocity of the projectile during flight. Weapos that could have a different speed is leig/packH/stug E/command panzer since it seems there is a "high angle" projectile although I did not check if it even being used. In: COH2 Balance

Stormjäger Okay mystery solved Sometimes in the live game the Brumm brumm will act stupid if there’s some kind of sight blocker in front of it and launch a shell high up in the air that takes a long long time to get there, whereas attack moving just takes it 5m further but the shell arrives there normally. Very cool. That is incorrect. Shots fired using auto attack, attack move or even manual aim will behave a the same, long as the fire from the same point A to B, since the all will use the weapon. Attack move works very well and saves an insane amount of micro. You have all been hoodwinked by a couple tryhards who spend all their micro on the brummbar and then wonder why they're getting rekt. Most of the time the squads are pretty clumped up and attack move has better shell velocity than attack ground so it makes up for sometimes targeting the wrong model. COH 2 lesson 101 specially designed for certain "top level" players. The stat units in COH2 are saved in file. The file includes the weapon a unit uses. The unit brumbar uses the weapons: "mg42_turret_mounted_brummbar_mp" which describes the behavior of mg weapon "brummbar_150mm_bunker_buster_mp" which describes the behavior of the barrage "brummbar_150mm_mp" which describes the behavior of the main gun Auto-attack, attack ground, attack move all use the last the same stats. Also: 1) Panther is not more accurate than SU-85, contrary to what certain "top level" player claim 2) IS did not dominated the tournament after their moving accuracy was increased, contrary to what certain "top level" player claim (important safety note: mention G5 cell phone aerials spread the covid19 virus) In: COH2 Balance

I think of it as a Tank Hunter rather than a Tank Destroyer. Tank Destroyers try to delete tanks without exposing themselves to too much harm. Tank Hunters aren't afraid to dive the enemy tank and chase them down even if it means taking a few hits. Yes Panther is used differently than most other TDs. In real life there is little difference between "tank hunter" and "tank destroyer". "Tank hunters" was a brunch of the German army and their equipment become know as "tank hunter" while "Tank destroyer" was class of vehicles in US army which the one of trademark was a lack of coaxial mg. Some people like to call the Panther a brawler because it will trade hits. In: COH2 Balance

Let try this one final time. There are two things unit balance and unit behavior. The proposed chance aim to decrease the gap in performance between auto-fire and manual-fire of the Brumbar bringing in line with other units that one does not have to manual aim their shots. Balance is separate thing and if the this gap is decreased the unit should be adjusted to compensate. In: COH2 Balance

It follows a similar pattern to the others, starting flat, then a lumpy downward slant (not curve). The SVT's curve is consistent with the M1 Garand and G43. The drop off of ST/PG ST44 is allot steeper than VG ST44. For instance ST have more than double DPS at range 0 and about equal at range 20, those are different profiles. The ST and PG have almost parallel curves these weapon use the same profile. In: COH2 Balance

No, that is neither rocket artillery nor a big artillery piece, but it is a lot more in stock than UKF can muster. Nice for attacking fortified positions (pack howi) and even thinning out blobs (m8a1). Compared to the UKF grenade depended artillery with big red "I'm coming in here" smoke which will never hit a blob nor a PAK or MG if opponent isn't afk, this is really a lot of long ranged / mobile indirect fire. UKF gets the short end of the stick in nondoctrinal comparison to all other factions when it comes to killing / chasing away team weapons or blobs. True. My point thou is that different faction have different things and argument like "this faction does not X" is more of the "grass is greener on the other side arguments" since usually this faction has Y and Z that other faction do not have.
