This patch is light on the nerf department for the meta. I sense ostruppen will still be used and mechanized still a top commander for USF. The issue remains, even with timing changes. Yes and this is why further adjustments will happen. Trust me, there were ideas floating around that would have completely butchered Osttruppen and WC51. But that would have been bad for the game. The goal is to make these units viable but without making them total trash or dominating still... and finding this sweet spot is very hard to do in a first iteration of a mod In: COH2 Balance |

I'm worried about the penetration nerfs, the big cats haven't gone away. for reference: at vet 2 on the SU85 and vet 3 on the Jackson, their current penetration is so high that they have a 100% chance to penetrate a vet 2 Panther frontally (at vet 2 it gets an armor bonus) In: COH2 Balance |

I havent give up hope that the useless "Thorough Salvage" will finally be replaced with a useful ability. The time penalty of thorough salvage got removed a few months ago, so now its just a straight up better version of the normal salvage. Same time and +12 muni for wrecks/weapon teams and +36mun for abandoned vehicles. How is that useless? In: COH2 Balance |

... And to respond to this more serious now: I cannot imagine why you would want these times of CoH2 back, it was often such a shitshow. Every faction had 1, maybe 2 completely over the top broken build orders in teamgames: - USF: Double M1919 spam and calliope spam - OKW: Volk blob and invincible King Tigers. JTs that pierce through terrain - Soviet: Maxim spam and broken DLC doctrines - Brits: emplacement spam, PIAT blob, broken tanks - Wehr: Invincible Tiger ace, doubleshotting elefants. Now combine that with horrible faction design and OP p2w commanders. OKW and USF had no nondoc flamer or flamenade and an extremely delayed HMG (or no HMG at all) for example. Imagine you were OKW on an urban map vs a FHQ maxim spammer or blobber. It led to so much unparalleled cancer and the same uninspired strategies that one has never seen before. I almost think you want the game to be more like Halo Wars (a game that I loved) type of assymetrical design and balance, but it's just two completely different games and this is how it should be In: COH2 Gameplay |
