I was watching a few videos from Angry Joe and Jackfrags about the actual details that they gave of the game, actually sounds like a lot of great mechanics are being implemented into BF V, the trailer did an awful job of portraying a lot of the big things they are changing which would have been easier to show in gameplay footage etc instead of a short trailer.
Im more interested in seeing some gameplay footage before making any opinion on it. From what I've seen it looks like they are really revamping the BF formula to be more team oriented which will be a nice change. |
It does seem like decreasing the cost of brens was a bit of a ninja buff.
In a sense it was, you get double brens on tommies a lot earlier now, while they are still weaker then before by no means are they that bad. |
IMO 4 of the 5 factions are play relatively well into each other, each either being stronger than its counterpart at specific times IE OKW into Sov/USF early or in team games balance well in synergies (No more OKW/OKW, USF/USF, or SOV/SOV dominating team games).
Out of all factions I'd say OST is the most well balanced overall faction, while hard to play they get basically everything you need to succeed while having doctrines that fill what would be consider holes in their non-doc. You get a solid front line infantry unit with excellent support weapons. They just get punished for mistakes very harshly which other factions have an easier time coming back from.
Weakest is Brits for sure, they are just flawed as a faction, 4 man tommies are barely worth 280 mp considering they lose at any range closer then far green cover to grens who are 40 mp cheaper and lose to both axis mainlines early if forced to move, no mobile indirect without a doctrine, and easy to overwhelm early and prevent them from scaling. The only situation that would seem to work for them would be in team games in a support role to USF or Soviets. |
Yep, not at all what i said (overall sniper balance) but I know you will do anything to not answer my questions.
Then argue about that, not why the sov sniper should stay at broken 2 man (flare anyone?).
Flare isnt that ability to make or break the sniper, maybe return its powerful counter sniping ability by revealing invis units? Then Sov sniper will have a obvious role like the other 2 while having that powerful vet 1 ability
Still anything it better then the ridiculous 2 man sniper that was unkillable unless u got a lucky mortar hit. |
Didnt the jackson get some ninja nefs? Like range down to 55 and slightly less accuracy at long range? or was it patched out? |
Have you ever gone into late games in 4v4 or 3v3. It is extremely common to see people having more than 6 panthers on the field in the same time, excluding the other armors.
6 panthers is 108 popcap... |
Almost everytime I play a top 50 player as Allies, I get steamrolled. Almost everytime I play a top 50 player as Axis, I get steamrolled.
This is a relatable statement
Biased pole about a contraversial change. This should be fun.
Can I have this for my signature? It's exactly what I am looking for.
Not if I take it first |
Sniper Scout Cars.
Multiple Heavies |
CP4 would be fine without tech but puma it a bit ridiculous without tech, since it can effectively kite most mediums. Also that doc really does give everything u need for puma play, considering you can get 2 additional snare infantry units and smoke along with the Damage Reduction buff from cp4, these combined make Pumas much stronger then typical. |
The issue is that the sov sniper didnt really get anything in return for losing its specialty, if they wanted the soviet sniper to be the sniper counter sniper then the flare should revel all invis targets, then the flare ability would actually work in favor the the replacing of the 2nd man.
Currently Sniper just doesn't seem worth it, generally con spam into t2 was strictly better then t1 now t1 barely seems worth it most of the time.
Id still prefer 1 man over 2 man though. |
