Those players also all benefit from holding an extra strategic point.
Building a cache is beneficial when building it doesn't result in any lost territory. Only once you hit the point in the match where more units doesn't mean more territory do caches become the more efficient way to turn manpower into munitions and fuel.
An early map control advantage turns into very early vehicles because there are so many strategic points in large teamgame maps. Caches are actually working against players trying to rush tanks.
Id say the biggest issue with 4v4 or 3v3 caches is the maps, its easy to put caches way back near your base which will likely never see any enemies which means you can get the bonus without risk. Additionally pios or engis are generally more free in larger team games as they arent required in as many places.
Other than the actual map caches are fine its just map design typically stalemates the fighting in specific sectors which means other sectors can just be non risky caches. |
I agree with tightrope, if you go for a fast t2 for a 222 rush then a pgren would be okay since youll likely face low vet unupgraded squads, or if you want to supplement grens with some at shreks but they definitely are not the easiest mid-close range unit to use in the game considering they dont have the same durability as the others. |
Yeah it seems that the sniper actually is getting more play by top tier sniper players. Both volks and grens get rektd by the new rof of the sniper even though it was believed the SOV sniper was going to never be seen (me included). Atleast ost has effective and early counters to the sniper OKW doesnt really have that dedicated early sniper counter unless you go luchs or puma.

Sections are still ok without cover. They can still match grens at long range and will only lose close range but when they do have cover, they dominate grens at all ranges. Try using Ostruppen without cover. The difference is night and day.
Sections fucking suck on the move or out of cover considering they lose to a 40 mp cheaper squad. |

Jeez people, ostheer doesn't need 2 same units in their load out. If you want a better assult grens just make a topic to buff that unit. Ostruppen is a unique unit and it should stay that way.

Ass Grens though need to just be better for what you get, 280 mp for a unit useful for the first few minutes of the game with no scaling. idk better recieved accuracy buffs with vet or something as they do not provide anything you couldnt get with regular grens (minus the fifth model). |
I don't think it has much to do with PC culture and more to do with the business model. They are trying to copy the RB6/Fortnite route of free DLC with a shit ton of paid cosmetics. Somewhere along the lines they made a business decision to offer a ton of character customization, it makes sense that a girl gamer will be more willing to spend money customizing female characters. If they did your idea of including diversity by using the appropriate battles, they would have to sacrifice including more interesting battles. Plus if I was a girl and I paid a lot of money to pimp out my girl character and I could only use her fighting for the French resistance on 1-2 maps, that would be a bad deal. The trailer focused so hard on the prosthetic arm, and the goggles, and the face paint, and the horse statue, etc. because the trailer was 30% teasing gameplay and 70% teasing custom characters.
If they ruin history in the campaign then get your pitchforks, but this seems like the new normal for multiplayer in big titles. Ironically I think capitalism did what the radical SJWs couldn't, but on the bright side we aren't going to have any more paid map packs.
I agree, it would have been nice to see in the trailer a more historic view such as french resistance or red army but its not that big of a deal and people are blowing it way out of proportion saying things like how it the trailer disrespects veterans and people who fought in ww2, which I find ridiculous.
Well, I think it's the opposite really. They show off stuff like throwing back grenades, crawling on back, towing stuff with vehicles, the stupid cosmetic stuff, rocket strikes, driving a tank through buildings, etc etc. Just try to throw in as much shit as possible because they add all this stuff.
That jackfrags video has some insider info that talks about alot of that stuff. Rewatching that trailer showed alot more than I thought that was just scripted events the first time.
I thought the same, a trailer honestly should just establish basic setting and game details but in this trailer they tried to fit a ton of new features into a short time, which made the trailer an absolutely jarring experience. It would have been better if they had done a more cinematic trailer and left all the new details to be reveled in press conferences.

Their utility is capturing weapon crews for cheap reinforcement, swarming map for map control and stalling opponents.
Their dps in cover is actually decent.
Their additional utility are fausts, which allow you to faust risk free for actually worthy anything grens.
I was talking about ass grens, who dont get fausts and have really bad dps (it feels like) for a cqc unit. |

The unit you describe is already in game, it's called assault grenadiers and has the utilities as you describe. Plus close range squad is already in ostruppen commander, it's a field officer. Ostruppen never needed a mp40 and they will never get one
They are 0 cp, they just suck so bad that nobody uses them cuz they do no damage and have no utility.
