Thread: "Close the pocket" OP? 1 Jul 2020, 18:44 PM Jump back to quoted post1 Jul 2020, 16:19 PMDAZ187 all 3 allied factions can build caches. the only time it can be annoying is if you have brit emplacements. otherwise its easy to prevent it. even if a team mate doesnt want to build a cache there is noting stopping you from doing so. And? Caches are not hard to destroy at all, especially that late in the game. And if I'm nowhere near the cutoff and have to rely on my teammate to defend it then we have a problem... It's a dumb ability period. So are all the loiter abilities, the computer is doing too much work for you. I really don't care that it requires the cutoff mechanic, the reward is 10X stronger than the work you do to pull it off. That's the problem It's a stupid gimmick they made to sell a commander. The ability doesn't even make sense, but duration off-maps in general shouldnt be that strong. The fact that people's suggestion is "just retreat your entire army" should be massive red flag about how dumb this ability is In: COH2 Balance

In team games you aren't responsible for the entire map (since the maps are larger...), therefore it can literally not be your fault that you've been cutoff and yet now every sector is getting nuked anyway And it's really not that hard to pull off. Idk why people keep saying that, the commander can spawn squads behind the lines, boost de-cap speed/cap with vehicles, AND it can nuke a point though the FOW. The entire commander is setup around using this ability, it's one of the biggest gimmicks that's ever been in the game. It's difficult to keep it going for a while, but you don't need much time to cause some serious damage. Never stops blowing my mind how many people think its good for the game The super off-map abilities should all be looked at. Hawkers, overwatch, CTP, etc In: COH2 Balance

The ability is really unique and not easy to pull off, but it's still absurd if you can pull it off and I really think it shouldn't be in the game I don't know why anyone thinks it's fun when off-maps win games. Period. Imo most of the end-game off-maps that have a duration are too strong. Loiters, AT overwatch, CTP, etc. In: COH2 Balance

You pay a one-time fee and get free nades the rest of the game (what taksin said) They're definitely useful, just because they can't wipe like the gren nade doesn't mean they're bad. Good at pushing guys out of cover/buildings, and always good support in a fight In: COH2 Balance
