If rear echelon flank an MG42 it needs to retreat... What's being compared are units that have the same job. Suppress infantry before they advance any further. The one that is the best at this is cheaper than ones that aren't as good and have costs just to unlock them. Yes of course armies are different. And? Tell me why it would not be okay for the mg42 to cost 280mp. In: COH2 Balance

Only 'loiter' should be the recon/mark-target ones. Absolutely do away with the 'target acquired, track to the ends of the earth' effect we currently have. Yeah I pretty much feel the same way. I'm willing to compromise with people on the first point, but your last point is the biggest issue here IMO. In: COH2 Balance

So re-design them. Maybe have SCAS/p47s do less damage but cause gun loader/vision criticals. IL2s definitely aren't a problem anymore, because they suppress and control more than they kill. Sector assault, p47s, and SCAS can still too easily deliver kills. P47s don't miss at all on Elefants and Jagdtigers. They rip them to shreds, AND those units are pretty hard to move out of loiters In: COH2 Balance

Most of them can only attack one type of target so they usually just end up chasing individual units outside the radius. Especially SCAS and P47s Then there's sector assault which can attack both. Which is still completely broken because bombs that track can cause way more chaos. In: COH2 Balance
Thread: Redesigning Loiters14 Feb 2019, 19:04 PM I'm not sure on specifics, but IMO something should be done to ALL attacking loiters to make them less effective (and cheaper by necessity). Maybe even go all the way and turn them into strafes? Perhaps you could have 3 strafes to call in within a certain area. And then the planes deliver the payload in sequence? I made a thread about this a while ago but I can't find it nor do I remember if there was any consensus. My big problem with loiters is that they require almost no micro to use, while forcing your opponent into a wild scramble just to save their units. Then there's the tracking issue where the planes follow you outside the circle if you didn't leave in time. In: COH2 Balance

I wish they made the M20 crew the same as others so it could get Thompsons from Armor. Yeah I don't find much use for the unit as a whole anymore now that the stuart is right there. Like you have to finish/cancel any piece of wire/sandbag before you can place another? It won't prevent the move entirely, but it would certainly limit it's effectiveness. In: COH2 Gameplay
