You wanna increase the cone too? .50 and dshk are only other mgs with same cone or smaller, and they already setup way faster than maxim. You increase the setup time any more, that cone should get buffed too

check just above u can see okw pays similar thanks to the increase in tech cost , right now they pay 10 fuel more in total but the bar and zook can be put on anyone and u get smoke too

Adding a munitions cost to the maxim
I've played a few mods where team weapons have a munitions cost associated with them and assuming the maxim actually performs well, a munitions cost could help stem a maxim spam from reaching mass before it can be managed. It would force cons to be intigrated to the build and then they eat up pop cap which leaves less room for more maxims.
Super interested in this idea. The right numbers could allow for a great maxim that is literally unspammable

if this was true riflemen would cost over 280mp, they have far more potential being able to upgrade 1-2 bars, LMG, 1-2 bazzokas (with snare). if ther cheaper Axis not aloud to AT blob, only allies allowed ok i get it.
Rifleman pay 300mp and 30 fuel for that potential, plus the muni cost, on top of their 280mp. Not sure how you're managing to forget that. 2x Bars are also more expensive than g43s. Zooks < shrecks.
OST is my second most played faction. If you accuse me of allied bias because you don't like 1 of my points about 1 squad on 1 axis faction, then you need to seriously relax. Where are you when i spend 5 pages telling allied noobs the Ostwind isn't OP against t34s? |
It's curious to me that this discussion of their cost is entirely focusing on the g43 path of the fussies. Like they can also upgrade to a 2x shreck squad, and none of you "their too expensive" people seem to have any problem making them cheaper
I'm against anything that assists the return of shreck blobs. At least volks only had 1 per squad
But again, you're paying for potential. The fact you can choose to take the squad either way makes them worth more than volks IMO |
2v2 and 3v3.
1st game -> tried only pfusi -> got facerolled by maxim spam
2nd game -> tried combining then with volks -> got rolled over by penals (but it was better than the first game)
3rd game -> tommies in any range with cover do not give a single fuck
4th game -> finally was doing fine thanks to my mate who held up and got real good with my pfusies (blobbing is the most effective way to use them for no reason) and holy rngesus blessed me with a crashing plane getting 2 of my pfusies vetted 4 and 5 and i just ragequitted.
As a sidenote haven't played them against USF but against any form of brit or sov opening, pfusi is a no no.
Fussies help if a clown car shows up so its def not a complete no no against sovs. I snared one in my first game last night
But they're definitely not strong in the beginning, it the potential you're paying for. 2x shrecks on a 5 man squad is ferocious
