It's more about the auto healing buildings and the counter barrage. British Sim City can be countered. With that one certain commander it is almost impossible on the other hand. I can´t agree here. The regular emplacement spam is easily countered by OKW with the LeIG. Ostheer however can´t do anything about it without the mortar HT. The regular Ostheer mortar gets stomped on by the mortar pit and any flamethrower attack gets shut down by a Bofors. Even here OKW has the advantage of having more anti building units in the form of Schrecks available. OKW can handle the regular emplacements, Ostheer can´t. Both factions get stomped by the cancer commander. In: COH2 Balance

Volks blob, FRPs, Rifle blob etc... That´s no argument at all. It doesn´t change the fact emplacements are destroying the game. Partly true. Though that´s more a problem of the cancer commander and cancer emplacements rather than the Ostheer support weapons. Versus the British and US the Ostheer Sniper is pretty effective (which I somewhat count as a support unit). In: COH2 Balance

They are a bit less cost effective and harder to blob than most of the other infantry, yet I think Ostheer is balanced more around effective support weapons rather than cost effective infantry. Thread: current state of wermacht g43?7 Apr 2016, 10:28 AM I actually prefer it over the MG42 upgrade. Simply because it´s way cheaper to equip 4 Grens with G43s than the former. 4x45 ammo=180 ammo vs 4x60 ammo = 240 ammo. That´s some extra grenades or a medic bunker upgrade for free. Also it means your Grens can be more mobile. I hate having them stand behind cover all the time not being able to chase down infantry with their full firepower when carrying the MG42. A smaller advantage of the G43 is that it doesn´t drop. Indeed this means you can´t take it up yourself. But there are quite a few games I lost because the other player had my MG42. In: COH2 Gameplay
